I am an animal lover and love to spend time with them weather that's going for a walk or play with their favourite toys or just sitting with them on the sofa for some company.

I offer in home visits and Petsitting either in the day or overnight. I feel it's important for your pet to keep its usual routine while you are away. So I try to keep as close to that as possible.

I've been petsitting for friends and acquaintances for a number of years looking after dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens.

I love to meet new animals and build relationships with them so that they are happy and relaxed while you're away. I am happy to take things slowly with animals who have trouble trusting, and understand that they have their own boundaries. Some animals love a new person but other will take their time.

I grew up in a terrier household so have a good understanding of strong personalities. It's always helpful to know if there are any sneaky escape artists or snack smugglers to plan accordingly.

I prefer to meet the animals before I come to stay for a longer period just to make sure that I'm not just a stranger in their space. It also gives me a chance to meet you the owners to learn about feeding schedules and daily routines for while you are away. Are there specific toys that are favourite or sneaky spot where they like to hide sometimes? I used to look after a cat who's preferred spot was in a drawer- so made sure that was always accessible for her. I also ask for your regular vets contact details where any pet carriers are stored and an emergency contact just in case.

I'm happy to keep your pets company and feed them if you have a long day out planned or overnight as well as pet and housesitting while you go on holiday.

Wether your pets is still young or a senior I will adjust to their preferences, some animals love to play no matter the age and personally that should be encouraged. Younger pets will need more energy to be used up so that they are relaxed when you come home. I like to chat with you about walking/ play schedules is there a particular time that zoomies hit or just anytime of the day? Walks and play are a key part of maintaining their routine. I prefer to keep all dogs on lead as recall for you may be perfect but have found that as the substitute human this is not always the case. I'm more than happy to compensate for the lead with a longer walk. But for everyone's peace of mind leads are a must with me.
