I have grown up with pets my whole life, mainly cats but have also been around dogs, hamsters, chinchillas, rabbits. My mum brought me up to respect animals and pets, and I am able to care for them calmly and confidently.

Growing up my mum gave me the responsibility of feeding our pets, making sure they had fresh water/milk when they needed it, had treats occasionally, gave them time and space to just relax and be there when/if needed. I was also in charge of making sure everything they needed was clean, especially with the rabbits, chinchillas and other animals, so they were always comfortable.

I have also grown up around family friends and friends who have had dogs so am used to going on dog walks and making sure they're all good too.

I live near a local park where there are safe places nearby to walk dogs for a suitable duration, and is a place where I am familiar with so safety is always followed. Happy to respect any owners wishes on walk length, and where, as I live in a place where there's a few different places for a dog to walk/run safely.
