I believe dogs deserve a holiday too! I've been welcoming dogs into my home for a number of years, providing a safe, comfortable and genuinely home-from-home experience while their owners are away. I love getting to know each dog's personality and making them feel like part of the family from the moment they arrive.

A stay built around your dog

I currently offer home boarding exclusively for dogs, from puppies through to large breeds. Your dog stays with me in my home rather than in a kennel environment, with walks, playtime, attention, cuddles and plenty of opportunities to relax.

I can accommodate up to four dogs depending on availability and, importantly, the individual dogs staying with me at the time. I want every dog to receive the care and attention they need, so suitability is always considered when arranging a stay.

I don't currently accept unneutered dogs or dogs with known behavioural issues.

Keeping their normal routine

Before your dog's stay, I'll ask you for detailed information about their normal routine, including feeding times and amounts, walks, sleeping preferences, medication, allergies or injuries, veterinary details, emergency contacts and anything else you think I should know.

I then follow your instructions as closely as possible. The aim is for your dog to enjoy their holiday while keeping the familiarity and routine they're used to at home.

Safety comes first

Safety and wellbeing are extremely important to me. I also hold my own public liability insurance for additional peace of mind. Dogs staying with me are always kept on lead when we're away from my property, and I have a range of good-quality leads and walking equipment suitable for dogs of different sizes. When we're out, I also carry spare leads, fresh water and a canine first-aid kit.

My home has a securely enclosed perimeter with additional protection around the gates for smaller dogs. I also have CCTV around the property, along with appropriate home and fire-safety equipment. 

Walks & Day Care

Dogs staying with me receive regular walks tailored to their age, size, energy levels and normal routine. A typical walk is around 40 minutes, although I'm happy to provide longer walks for dogs that are used to more exercise. I have several local walking routes and choose where we go depending on the individual dog, weather conditions and how busy the area is. Dogs are always kept on lead while in my care.

I also offer doggy day care, providing a home-from-home environment during the day with walks, playtime, rest and plenty of attention. Dogs are supervised throughout their time with me, and I only accept dogs that I believe will be suitable for my home and any other dogs staying with me.

Day care is available between the hours of 9-5pm, subject to availability. As with overnight boarding, I'll discuss your dog's normal routine, feeding requirements, exercise needs and any other important information with you beforehand.

Plenty of attention — and updates for you

Walks, playtime and plenty of affection are all part of the stay. I'll also keep you updated while you're away, because I know how reassuring it is to see that your dog is happy, comfortable and settled.

I've been fortunate to receive some lovely feedback from owners and have welcomed dogs back for repeat stays. Seeing a dog excited to come back through my door is one of the biggest compliments I can receive.

Most importantly, I want you to feel completely comfortable about who you're leaving your dog with — and I want your dog to be just as comfortable staying with me.
