About Sarah
A bit about me:
Hi! I'm Sarah, I am currently enrolled at university, so luckily, I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to do what I love! I adore all animals and am very fortunate to volunteer at a wildlife hospital, where I get to care for all types of patients, from newborn birds to fully grown badgers.
I have also volunteered at the RDA, where I taught disabled adults and children how to ride horses. A big part of my role involved feeding, grooming, and handling the horses.
In 2021, I became vegan because I have a passion for advocating for all animals—whether they are domestic, farm, or wild animals.
I have two Scottish Fold cats called Bruce and Bruno (both in the last two pictures), who are absolute teddy bears. They love cuddles and attention (and I love giving it to them!).
My experience:
I provide pet sitting and dog walking. I used to work at a cattery and kennel, where I raised kittens and puppies and socialised them, preparing them for their new homes. My responsibilities also included cleaning up after them and feeding them.
I also have experience with senior dogs and cats, who were part of the cattery and kennel. In this role, I administered any medication they needed. I am very confident with all types of animals, especially cats and dogs!
Dog walking:
I have been walking dogs for years. I love hiking and exploring different parks. My favourites are Horton Park, Nonsuch Park, and Richmond Park, anywhere away from cars and traffic, both for safety and for a more freeing walk in nature for the dogs.
My partner (who is also a huge animal lover and an experienced house sitter and dog walker) and I have a car that can comfortably fit medium to small dogs for travel to parks. We also have plenty of balls, towels, and blankets. (I am able to walk larger dogs if there is a park near your home).
House visits and pet sitting:
Since I've worked with cats and have two of my own, I am well-versed in their nature, needs, and preferences. I offer litter tray cleaning, feeding, tons of cuddles and playtime, as well as house sitting for when you're away.
My pet sitting and house visit services can also include watering your plants and feeding other small pets such as chickens, fish, and small rodents.
I'll always make sure to send you daily updates of your pets, including pictures and videos.
Meet-up and pricing:
Before providing any service, we will arrange a meet-up to get to know each other (and for you to ease any worries). This will give me the opportunity to understand your pets and their specific needs and personalities.
Prices will vary depending on the number of pets, the length of time you'd like my services and commute. Do note that during September I will only be able to book in certain postcodes. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions! :)
