About me:

I live alone with my lovely pets. Due to their needs and relationships I am not able to have free roaming pets in my home. I work as a learning disability nurse currently working in CAMHS who when on home visits often makes friends with the animals too. I genuinely love all animals and treat them with respect and kindness. I am happy to handle and engage with them as much as they like always following their lead.

My pets past and present have included :

-Syrian Hamsters

- Rabbits

- Guinea pigs

-cats

- dogs

-tortoises

- tropical fish

-Giant African land snail

some of the key experience I have had with my pets:

- positive reinforcement training with the dog and socialisation for the others

- spotting illness and seeking appropriate vet help in a variety of species

- administering medications to a variety of species

- meeting different species and individuals enrichment and engagement needs

Services offered

- feeding I am happy to work with most dietary needs

- brushing

- oral or topical medication administration ( I have given medication to dogs cats hamsters guinea pigs. Rabbits and tortoises) I will aim to give this in the way your pet find most tolerable.

- photo updates or video calls via WhatsApp

- health monitoring and seeking vet support if needed.

- cuddles if they like it

- playing their way

- each visit would be upto an hour

-I offer a meeting before booking to check I am the right person for you and your pet.

Experience outside my own pets

I have looked after friends and family's animals when they have gone away from a young age. Both are at my home and going into their homes.

This has included:

- during secondary school I did home visit to my friends home to feed and play with their cats whilst they were on holiday.

- I have looked after my friend's cat and rabbits at their home when they have been away.

- I have had a colleague dog who was recently rescued so very nervous come and stay with me whilst they were away.

- whilst my sister was away on honeymoon I looked after their indoor cats building their confidence with less familiar people.

- I have looked after giant African land snails from my brother in laws school during the school holidays.

- I have looked after my parents fish, dog and tortoises when they have gone away on holiday.

Timings

I can be somewhat flexible with timings that work for your pets however I do have a job outside of this as a nurse.

If your pet needs set times please let me know so we can discuss whether this would be able to work.
