Hi, I'm Teresa and I live in the Colchester area.
I have been pet sitting at other people's homes for three years now and thoroughly enjoy it.
I grew up with animals, those being a cat, 7 rabbits and 2 gerbils so am quite at home with various types of animals.
I have also gained alot of experience in the last 2-3 years by looking after a friend's two cats at various intervals for two weeks at a time in their home whilst they were on holiday. This involved feeding, watering and ensuring they were safely back in the house at night time.
I also recently looked after an adult Lakeland terrier (12 years old) for three weeks, again staying In the owner's home while they were away. This involved feeding, watering, walking, playing and general care. I also looked after their fish which involved feeding twice per day.
This was great experience where I learned a lot about myself and dog behaviour.
I love being involved with animals and caring for them gives me a great sense of purpose. This is my motivation for wanting to become a pet sitter together with being able to provide an invaluable service to the owner.
I can pop in to your home, feed/walk or both, depending on the animal and can change litter trays and carry out various other tasks that may be required whilst you are away.
Please note, I can only accept pop in requests within 5 miles of the Colchester area due to petrol costs.
Whilst housesitting, I can take on other duties such as putting the rubbish out, collecting parcels, putting post away, watering plants and general upkeep of the house so that it is clean for when you return.
Any additional duties required can be discussed prior to booking.
Please note, I can only accept housesitting requests within a 10 mile radius of Sudbury, Suffolk.
I am a very caring individual who is trustworthy and reliable and treat all animals as if they were my own. I treat this service with great seriousness given the responsibility that comes with it and am currently looking to further add to my services in undertaking a First Aid course and dog trainer/behavioural studies course.
I will send you photos of your pet/pets as often as you would like to keep you updated on how they are doing and for your peace of mind.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your pets needs and I will do my very best to ensure your pet/pets are happy and well looked after whilst you are away.
I work full-time (shift work) alongside pet sitting and the hours can vary, so please bear this in mind.
If you are still interested in speaking to me regarding sitting, please go ahead with an enquiry
and we can arrange a meet and greet to discuss further.

Teresa is just wonderful! Our dogs, Toffee and Milo, absolutely love her and her calm, caring manner works wonders! She is adaptable and willing to go the extra mile - we can rely on her 100%. It feels like Teresa has become part of our family!
We felt extremely confident leaving Teresa to care for our cats while we were away. She put our minds at ease during our first meeting and we came back to find them happy, content and well. She understood their needs and cared for them in our stead exactly as we would. We are grateful to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again.
