Hi, I'm Carl, and I run First Steps Dog Training & Home Boarding from my home in Chartham, Canterbury. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. My aim is to provide a genuine home-from-home experience, where dogs can stay in a comfortable household environment rather than traditional kennels. I am fully insured and hold a 4-star Home Boarding Licence, and I take the safety, welfare and individual needs of every dog in my care very seriously. What I offer Home dog boarding, including overnight stays and day care for owners who are away on holidays, weekends, work trips or other commitments. During their stay, dogs receive individual attention, regular exercise, walks, play, enrichment, rest and downtime with examples below: 🐶 Daily exercise plan based on your normal routine such a 1 or 2 walks a day. 🐶 Enrichment routine which can include licky matts, games, training and ball games in my large garden. 🐶 Daily cleaning and checks to ensure cleanliness and health. 🐶 Food routine based on your usual time frames. I care for dogs only and accept dogs who are comfortable staying in a home environment. Because every dog is different, I carefully consider temperament, behaviour, exercise needs and compatibility before accepting a booking. Most importantly, I want owners to feel confident that when their dog stays with me, they are being cared for as an individual and treated as part of the family.
