Hi, my name is Katie and I'm currently a full time, freelance musician based in Dennistoun, Glasgow. I sing and play keys in my wedding band, as well as a soloist, playing weddings, events, functions, bars, pubs, restaurants and care homes all over Scotland. I am also an avid outdoors enthusiast and love being outside in nature. Most importantly, I am hugely passionate about animals and their care and welfare. 

Ever since I was young, my family had pets-mostly cats, but we also had a dog at one point and some goldfish. From a very young age, I have had experience of caring for and taking care of animals. Over the years, I have also looked after and cared for pets within my family and my partner's family, when they have been on holiday; this has included cats, chihuahuas, a hamster and a Border Collie. 

I often take my Mum's dog, Cooper (a Border Collie), out for walks and will also care for him when she is needing help. I have extensive experience in dog walking, as well as in general animal care and welfare, but I've also had some experience in administering oral medication, grooming and cleaning etc. Mostly, I just love looking after pets, it brings me a lot of joy, happiness and contenment. 

I am mostly available during the weekdays (morning-evening), and I can be available morning-afternoons on weekends. However, I do gig, mostly at the weekends in the evenings and sometimes late afternoons, so I tend to have more availability during the week.

For the services I offer, I can take your dog out for a long, medium or short walk to either a local park, a secure dog field or a larger outdoors area, whatever your prefer for your pet or whatever works best for them. For reference, I usually take my Mum's dog out to larger, wide open, grassy spaces i.e. a country park, woodlands walks, even further afield to regional or national parks that have plenty of walks. 

I also offer home visits either once or twice a day, where I can ensure your pet is fed, their water is topped up, they are let out into the garden for toilet breaks etc, can also spend time playing with your pet, if you have cat or dog toys. I can also administer oral medication but will need specific instructions for this. I can stay up to a few hours, and can also water plants, bring in the mail etc. I will clean any litter trays/dog cages etc, ensure your pet is kept clean and keep you updated via message and any update pictures of your pet, also including if there's any medical emergencies.
