I moved to Edinburgh from New Zealand in 2022 and have been really missing animals as I'm not allowed a pet in my flat. I used pawshake to help save up for my move back in New Zealand for six months before I moved here. I really enjoyed meeting new people and pets and getting to form a bond with the ones I saw regularly. I'm looking to get back into it so I can pat some cute dogs on the regular.&nbsp;I grew up with cats in my home but have looked after lots of different kinds of dogs through this app. Once I get a place of my own I'd love to get a daschund one day.&nbsp;I am based in EH7, close to Easter Road and Meadowbank. I really love how many people have dogs here and how dog friendly Edinburgh is. I work full time Monday to Friday, mostly in the office near Old Town.&nbsp;When I'm not at work I like to visit all the museums and galleries around the place, or relax in front of the tv with whatever series I'm currently working through.&nbsp;I'm experienced and available for feeding and play visits, dog walking and house/pet sitting while you're away. Happy to discuss more about you and your pets specific needs and come to meet them before booking.&nbsp;

I grew up always surrounded by pets at home and we had several dogs which were my best friends. I recently was a proud dog mum to two lovely but sometimes a little naughty rescue greyhounds! Sadly we lost them both in their old age earlier this year. I am not in a position to adopt again at the moment, but am missing the happiness and joy dogs can bring to our lives. This is why I have set up a Pawshake profile, to help out with your furry family&nbsp;
I have experience with anxious and needy dogs, as well as dogs who are not happy around other dogs, people or other pets. I am understanding, patient and caring and understand that all dogs are different and have their own quirks and funny personalities. I have carried out training with my own dogs, including basic commands but also helping with some behavioural issues and would be able to offer some of this experience to training. I'd be happy also to do some basic dog maintenance e.g brushing fur and teeth. I will get to know your dog and your requirements, and could house sit overnight at weekends, or bank holidays if needed. I would be able to also some basic house chores like watering the plants if I'll be there anyway, and would spend time with your day giving them plenty of fuss!
My availabilty for dog walking would primarily be weekends in the day or weekday evenings as I do work Monday to Friday, usually in the office. On the weekend, or weekday evenings I can dog sit or walk your dog, and will only take on one dog at at time (unless from the same family), so your dog would have my undivided attention (as it should be!).&nbsp;
I am based in the NewTown/Stockbridge area of Edinburgh so at the moment would be available for only fairly local dogs - but happy to meet more! Walks would mostly be short walks around the city, but if your dog needs longer walks we could go further to Inverleith Park or near you and do some running around and play fetch etc.&nbsp;

Hi, there! My name is Noah and I'm now studying in the art college of UoE. I really love animals and most of my design works start from animals' perspectives. I have some experience of walking and taking care of my friends' dogs when she is busy with her work (her dog is a Corgi, he has been bullied by large dogs in his childhood, it's not easy to walk him in the street.) Also, my sister is working in London, I will take care of her baby cat, jojo, in my holiday (you can see him in my profile photos)
Because I can't have a cat in the flat I rent, I only can be responsible for home visit. I have some free time in weekdays, especially in Wednesday, and of course the weekends. I totally understand the problem of my sister when she has to fly to another country for business trips or she cannot easily promise a long holiday trip, because she worries her pets. Also we don't really agree on sending cats to a new place for boarding, most of them have stress reactions. So I think home visit is a better way to solve problems. I am very responsible for taking care of cats. Don't worry about your cats starving or feeling lonely, I'm really looking forward to spending time with them :)

I'm a massive animal lover available for dog walking around Granton, Trinity and Leith areas. I've always had dogs and cats growing up and I really enjoy their company. I’ve spent time volunteering in DSPCA (RSPCA in Ireland) and Dogstrust so I’m familar with different dog breeds, sizes and personalities. I took a dog training course a few years ago where we learned various dog training techniques. 
I'm happy to vary the pace according to your dogs needs. Throwing sticks along the way if that's what they're into! I can do walks from 30 mins to 3 hours long. Your dog will enjoy a safe walk with lots of pats and attention.

 I’m veterinary technician graduate with biology master’s. I have job experience in pet hospital and private veterinary. I grew up with animals and I have experience with vast majority of pets. I love them they love me back.
I’m currently working home office as self employed data analyst, they won’t be alone. Don’t have much in my plate right now. So i’ve time for a furry fella. My Labrador passed away 2 years ago and I miss him everyday. After long years of companionship I got used to have a friend around me. Meeting new dogs and spending time with them really helps.
I live 2 minutes to The Meadows and it is perfect for dog walking I love it here. If I'm walking with a friendly social dog, it gives the opportunity to meet other dogs, say hi and play a little and if I'm walking with a dog who is nervous around other dogs/people there are paths to avoid other dogs and crowd so they can just walk and relax. The Meadows is big enough for everybody. 
Keeping the same routine is essential for dogs. I will follow their routine while getting to know them. It’s all about communication once we start they will tell me what they need and what they want.
