Hi, I’m Jessica! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover living in Englefield Green with my husband and our two children. Our home has always been full of animals, and dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in South Africa and Namibia surrounded by dogs and cats, and my husband and I have also adopted three rescue dogs of our own. I even hand-reared a little kitten I found on the street! I have experience working in a veterinary hospital and also spent time in Namibia working alongside a dog behaviour specialist, particularly with rescue dogs. So I’m comfortable with dogs with different personalities, needs and backgrounds, and I understand how important it is to make them feel safe and settled in a new environment. Since moving to the UK, I’ve really enjoyed opening our home to dogs through Pawshake. I love getting to know each dog’s individual personality and making their stay feel like a little holiday of their own. ❤️ 🏡 What your dog can expect Our home is relaxed, family-oriented and dog-friendly. Your dog will have lots of company, affection, playtime and regular walks, as well as a cosy place to relax. I only take a small number of dogs at a time so that I can give each one plenty of attention. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, including feeding, medication, walks and any little quirks that make them them. I know that leaving your dog with someone else can feel daunting, so I want you to feel completely comfortable and reassured while they’re with us. You’ll also receive regular photo updates, so you can see what your four-legged family member is getting up to while you’re away. 🐶❤️ We have a secure garden and lovely walking routes nearby, and I’m lucky enough to be at home for much of the day, meaning your dog isn’t simply left alone for long periods. I’m particularly suited to friendly adult dogs who enjoy being part of a family home. I don’t take large numbers of dogs at once, and I always like to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure we’re a good fit. Your dog isn’t just a booking to me — they’re a guest in our home and will be treated as one of the family. I can’t wait to meet them! 🐾
