My husband and I are a dog-loving couple with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. Our home is calm, smoke-free, and shared with our sweet miniature poodle, Riley. We both work from home throughout the week, except I go into the office on Mondays, so your pup will get plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision throughout the day.

We’re happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, including crate use, walks, playtime, naps, medication, or special schedules. Just let us know what keeps them happy and comfortable, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We usually do two longer walks each day, one around lunchtime and another after work, both around 45 minutes, alongside toilet breaks and enrichment throughout the day.

Your dog’s safety and comfort are always our priority. If we ever need to briefly head out, dogs will either be safely settled in their crate, if crate trained, or one of us will remain at home with them. We never leave dogs unattended in unsafe situations.

Riley can be very excitable when meeting dogs for the first time and can come in with a lot of enthusiasm. If a dog finds her initial energy a little overwhelming, we’re happy to take introductions slowly and carefully. We’ll usually give Riley some time to settle calmly in her crate first, allowing the dogs to observe each other from a distance before interacting. We use lots of positive reinforcement, praise, and treats to help create a calm and positive experience. Once settled, Riley is a lovely companion and tends to do best with calm, social dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs.

We’re always happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable and it feels like the right fit for both dogs.
