About Sky

Description

Anyone who’s had a pet knows the feeling of walking through the door and being greeted like you’ve been gone a year. I grew up with animals and have cared for my own for years the early walks in bad weather, the vet trips, the fussy eater who’d only touch dinner if you sat beside them. That welcome never got old, and it’s why I do this. Leaving a pet with someone else is a real act of trust and I don’t take it lightly.

What I bring:

Years of hands-on care with my own pets, including [medication at set times / an anxious rescue / an ageing dog with mobility issues]

I show up when I say I will at the time I say I will no last-minute cancellations

Calm and unhurried around nervous animals; I let them come to me rather than the other way round

How a walk goes:

I check in with you first on lead habits, recall, and what they’re like around other dogs

Steady pace, sniff time included: a walk is their hour, not mine

Harness and lead checked before we leave, water on longer or warmer days

Paws and coat wiped down before they’re back inside

Photo and a short note on how they did when I drop them home

How a drop-in goes:

Fresh food and water and I note what’s actually eaten

Litter or cage cleaned, any mess tidied

Proper play and company, the bit that matters most when the house is empty all day

Doors, locks and windows checked before I leave

Photo update every visit, so you’re never left wondering

When things aren’t straightforward:

Medication, special diets and feeding schedules followed exactly as written. I’d rather ask twice than guess once

Nervous or reactive dogs: quieter routes, shorter walks, more distance from other dogs

Senior pets: slower pace, more rest stops, close attention to joints and appetite

If something seems off refusing food, limping, low energy. I message you straight away, and I’ll ask for your vet’s details up front in case it’s ever needed

Services:

Dog walking

Drop-in visits

[Home boarding / house sitting]

Good to know:

Happy with dogs and cats of any size, and [small animals] too

Most available [mornings, noon, evenings and weekends]

One small ask: Tell me about any allergies or medication, and the things that make your pet your pet the favourite game, the spot they always claim, the toy that fixes everything. The more I know, the more it feels like home while you’re away.
