Hello, I’m Jo! I’ve always lived in a family of cat lovers. In fact, I was born into a family with more cats than children! It’s also a running joke in our house that stray cats always seem to find their way to my parents’ door. I think cats just know where they’re welcome! My own cats are the first ones I look for when I get home and the last little faces I say goodbye to when I leave. They’re very much part of the family, and I couldn’t imagine life without them. I have a soft spot for all cats, whatever their age, personality or quirks. I currently share my home with two lovely cats. My gorgeous tuxedo girl is 13 years old and still likes to keep us on our toes with the occasional ‘present’ from the garden! We also have our adopted boy, who found his way into our lives and quickly found his forever home with us. He’s a lovely reminder that sometimes cats choose their humans! A little about my cat-sitting My cat-sitting journey started by looking after my sister’s two indoor cats. Rather than putting them in a cattery when she went away, she wanted them to stay in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. I loved being able to pop in, spend time with the boys, make sure they were eating well, groom them and play their favourite game – laser dot! I understand that cats are creatures of habit and that being away from their owners can sometimes be unsettling. I’ll always take the time to get to know your cat’s individual personality, routine and preferences, whether they’re playful and adventurous or prefer a quiet cuddle and a little company. I’m very happy to follow detailed feeding instructions, cater for fussy eaters and make sure everything is just as you would like it. Your cat’s comfort and wellbeing will always be my priority. I also know how reassuring it is to see your pets while you’re away, so I’m more than happy to send photo updates and little messages to let you know how they’re getting on. And it’s not just cats! I’m happy to feed your fish, collect your post and help with those little things that make being away from home easier. Where I cover I’m based in Gravesend and happy to cover the surrounding areas, including Higham, Shorne, Swanscombe, Greenhithe, Longfield, Meopham and parts of Rochester.
