Hi, I’m Tanya! I live in Halifax with my husband and our two friendly cats. We’ve both loved animals for as long as we can remember, and caring for them is something we truly enjoy. Our home is calm, safe and pet-friendly, with a secure garden where pets can relax under supervision.

I offer boarding for cats who are comfortable living with other friendly cats, as well as home visits, overnight stays and full-time house sitting in your home. I also welcome small dogs (up to 10 kg) for boarding and home care. Before every booking, I’m happy to arrange a free meet and greet so we can get to know each other and make sure it’s the right fit.

Someone is usually at home, as my husband often works from home, so your pet will receive plenty of company and attention. In rare cases, pets may be left alone for up to 3 hours. I carefully introduce guest cats to my own cats at a pace that suits them, helping them feel safe and relaxed. If needed, your cat can have a quiet space in our living room or kitchen until they feel comfortable.

I have cared for cats all my life, raised three abandoned kittens until they found loving homes, looked after friends’ small dogs during holidays, and regularly care for cats in their own homes while their owners are away. I’m experienced with shy and nervous cats and always take the time to earn their trust. I also enjoy caring for friendly small dogs. I do not accept aggressive pets, as the safety of all animals is my priority.

I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding schedules, playtime, grooming if they enjoy it, and giving oral medication. I can also administer injections when caring for pets in their own home. If I’m looking after a dog, walks are tailored to their needs and usually last between 30 and 60 minutes, once or twice a day, depending on your preferences.

If your pet becomes unwell, I’ll contact you immediately. If needed, I’ll take them to the nearest veterinary clinic, which is only about a 20-minute walk from my home.

You’ll receive daily photos and videos, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, loved and well cared for. I speak both English and Russian, and I’ll treat your pet with the same love, patience and attention that I give my own animals.
