I am a friendly, reliable and experienced dog walker and pet sitter living in Harpenden. I work from home (or can work from yours) and have the flexibility to walk and look after your pets any time of the day, in the week and at weekends.  

I love animals and have had many pets over the years including horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils and would look after your pet with the care, affection and attention they deserve. I have previously owned a cat with a heart condition so am used to administering oral medication and regularly look after a cat with asthma which requires an inhaler.

Dog walking - walks for around one hour on the many footpaths, parks and open countryside in the local area. Unless from the same household I will only walk one dog at a time to ensure they always have my full attention. I walk dogs of all ages and sizes and know that some love to bound around and use up lots of energy and some like a gentle stroll with lots of sniffing. Unless otherwise advised I will keep them on the lead until I am confident of recall. On our return I will make sure they have fresh water and are as clean and dry as possible.

Home visits / House sitting - whatever your pet needs, just let me know. I will make sure they have food, fresh water, clean out litter trays, hutches, groom them (if required), play with them and give them lots of cuddles (if they want them that is!). If house sitting I will walk dogs twice a day. Happy to water plants, put bins out, take in parcels etc whilst you are away. Whether it be drop in visits or long stays whilst you are away, I will look after your home like my own and make sure it is well looked after, safe and secure.

Daycare / Boarding - I live in a relaxed, comfortable house with a large secure back garden that dogs can access any time they like. They will have lots of cuddles and are welcome to relax and snooze on the sofas. My garden backs onto woods, with gated access, that lead onto many lovely footpaths and open spaces. There will be two walks a day and I will only look after one dog at a time (unless from the same household) so you can be confident they will always have my full attention. I am also able to look after rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils etc.

I understand how important communication is and will keep you regularly updated, with pictures, on how your pet (and home) is doing so you know they are safe, happy and healthy whilst you are away.
