My name is Katie and as much as I love all animals, I can not hide that my true passion is dogs! I will treat all amimals as my own and will give beloved pets the best treatment possible whilst in my care. I understand that leaving pets behind during the day for work or whilst away on holiday can be a cause for worry, but I will do everything I can to reassure you and keep you up to date via Pawshake, text or whatsapp. Outside of working hours, I spend my time volunteering at dog trainning clubs as an instructor and assistant to help owners understand and improve the relationship with their pets. I also train two dogs in obeadience as their owners are unable to. It is my aspiration to dovelop my skills in dog behaviour and every dog walk, house sit and training session teaches me something new about the stages of pet dovelopment, differences between breeds and personallities and most of all, the outstanding amout of love they give and deserve in return.
I have volunteered with various local rescue centres to help animals in need, zoological colections to help with endangered species and finaly become a pet sitter/ walker to care for pets when owners are unable to themselves. It has been my assperation to work with animals all of my life and what could be better than spending the day surounded by animals?
On dog walks, there are no more than three dogs together but this is only with consent from all oners owners and if this arangment will be benefit all dogs involved. My aim is to enrich your dogs walks by offering to have 'Sniffer Walks', 'Pure Exercise Walks' (for those needing help to lose weight) and 'Desensitisation Walks' for those that are more nervous.
I remain vigilant on walks to make sure dogs that I am responcible for remain safe and comfortable. If you are intrested or have any questions about dog walking, just ask.
Pet/house sitting can be provided on evenings or overnight stays whilst on holiday, where I will live in and take care of your house as well as your pets. I try my best to keep your dogs rutine as normal as possible where I can, however due to dog walking comitments, this may not always be possible. The maximum amount of time that I will leave your pets will be 3 hours at once, including any travel time. I chose to dog sit in the clients home because it is the enviroment that pets know best and are most comfotable with, reducing the chance of stress.
Home visits can be done either once or twice a day in the morning (between 6-9am) or evening (between 4-7pm) including over christmas and bank holidays. Each of these services may require me to enter your home with a key that I have been provided with during the free meet and greet session. I will treat your home with as much respect as I will care for your pets.
If you have any questions, I will happily answer them.
Katie was fast to respond and flexible to meet our short timescales. Our dog has really taken to her & we’ve already booked again. Great to have someone close by we can trust & rely on.
We will most definitely be using Katie's services again. Our pet Mishka is a very shy house cat and will hide from new people but even she quickly made friends with Katie after a few days. Katie was very professional and respectful of our flat. Communication was easy and we could fully relax whilst being away on holiday. We would highly recommend her.
