About Phoebe
Hi, I’m Phoebe! I’ve had dogs my whole life and absolutely love being around them. At the moment, I have a beautiful Irish Wolfhound called Rufus, who lives in Brighton with my dad. I go back as often as I can to spend time with him and look after him.
Rufus is a rescue, so he needed a lot of patience and care when we first got him, as he’d been through quite a bit. But now he’s such a happy, loving dog who spends his days running along the beach, it’s been so rewarding to see his transformation.
I’m based in London for work, but I really miss having a dog around every day, which is why I’d love to help out with yours! I’m keen to build a genuine bond with both dogs and their owners, creating a relationship built on trust over time.
I work from home every Friday and I’m usually free on weekends (with a bit of notice, I can be very flexible). I live in a dog-friendly flat on Kingsland Road, right next to Shoreditch Park, perfect for walks. I’m also more than happy to dog sit at your home, whether that’s overnight or during the day.
I have experience with rescue dogs, and unsocialised dogs which helps on walks when coming across other dogs. I am an early riser so I can get myself up for walks. At home, we don't have a garden so I normally take Rufus on 4 walks a day. Two big ones which will last up to an hour or two hours, and 2 shorter ones (30-40 mins). Feeding time would be in the AM before or after first walk (depending on your routine) treats in the day, and dinner around 6pm an hour before an evening walk.
My flat is clean, comfortable, and on the first floor, with no balcony access, so it’s a safe environment for dogs. We’re surrounded by great walking spots too, Haggerston Park is just a 5-minute walk away, and Shoreditch Park is about 10 minutes. There’s also the nearby Canal for lovely walks towards Broadway Market or Islington, perfect for keeping dogs happy and active.
I start by keeping my energy low and relaxed when the dog arrives. I let them approach me in their own time instead of reaching out immediately. I normally bring a treat (with the owner’s permission) to help create a positive first association.
My schedule is quite flexible overall, so if you need help during the week, I can often work from home or even bring your dog into the office. I work in Clerkenwell as a talent manager at a modelling agency, and luckily it’s a very dog-friendly environment, my directors all have dogs too!
