I’m Alvin, a cat dad in my forties and for nearly 20 years, cats have been a central part of my life. Since 2006, I’ve shared my home and heart with four special cats—Bubu, Monkmonk, Muumuu and Gigi—each teaching me patience, compassion, and the joy of truly understanding their needs.

I have hands-on experience caring for senior and medically sensitive cats:

Bubu (19 years old) – I help her manage kidney disease, blindness, and high blood pressure. Every day I feed her by hand as she refuses to eat the kidney food by herself, and give her medication, apply eye drops and ointment, and guide her safely around the home. Caring for her has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to provide comfort and reassurance.

Monkmonk– I was by her side during a heart episode, learning to recognise distress like heavy breathing and to act quickly and calmly, even arranging home oxygen support if needed.

Muumuu – in her final stage of kidney disease, I gave her daily subcutaneous fluids and learned how to support and comfort a cat in her last days with love, dignity, and gentle care.

Gigi – a foster kitten I raised from two months old, helping her grow healthy, confident, and independent.

Recently, I cared for a friend’s three cats for 14 days while she travelled. It was my first Cat Sitter experience, and it reminded me how rewarding it is to use my experience and love for cats to make other owners feel at peace, knowing their furry friends are in safe, caring hands.

I treat every cat as family. I approach them with patience, warmth, and empathy, providing care, comfort, and companionship. My goal is to make every cat feel safe, loved, and cherished while their humans are away.
