About Lucy
Hi! I’m Lucy, a 25-year-old from New Zealand currently living in London. I work in the film industry, which means I often have downtime between contracts. During those periods I have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time, attention and care to your pets.
I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my whole life. My family has always had pets, including cats, turtles, a Golden Retriever, and most recently my gorgeous Border Collie, who is back home in New Zealand with my parents (and very much missed!). Being away from my own dog has made me realise just how much I miss having animals around, so I’m excited to spend time caring for other people’s pets and giving them the same love and attention I’d give my own.
I’m confident caring for dogs with a range of personalities and energy levels, having grown up with active, intelligent breeds that needed plenty of exercise, stimulation and affection. I’m also experienced with cats and understand that every pet has their own routine and individual needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, adventures in the park, playing games, or simply relaxing with company at home, I’m happy to tailor my care to suit them.
I offer dog walking, home visits, house sitting, and doggy day care. Walks are tailored to your dog’s age, energy level and routine. Home visits include feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of cuddles. If I’m house sitting, I’ll do my best to keep your pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and settled while you’re away.
I’m also happy to care for puppies, multiple pets from the same household, and administer oral medication where needed, depending on the type of medication and how comfortable your pet is with taking it. I’m always happy to discuss your pet’s individual needs beforehand to make sure I can provide the best care possible.
I live in a smaller flat, so dogs staying with me should be comfortable in an apartment and fully toilet trained. While I don’t have a large outdoor space, I love getting outside and will make sure your dog enjoys plenty of exercise and enrichment. Because I’m fairly petite, I may not be the best match for very large or strong dogs that pull heavily on the lead, but I’m always happy to discuss your dog’s temperament to see if we’re a good fit.
Reliability, communication and making owners feel at ease are really important to me. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you know your pet is happy, safe and having a great time while you’re away.
I know how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. My goal is to make sure they feel happy, safe and loved while you’re away, and to give you complete peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, capable hands. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family member!
