We are Caroline and Danny, aged 71 and 58 respectively, a retired couple who love animals and travel. Before we retired, Caroline was a Special School teacher and Danny worked in IT. Our interests are walking, sitting in the sun, reading, cooking, eating, snooker and films. 

We both had pets growing up and in our adult lives. When we retired and started our travels we became pet-free, but found that we missed the fun, affection and energy of pets. 

We started house- and pet-sitting for friends a couple of years ago, then a few months ago we signed on with Trusted Housesitters. Since then we have pet-sat cats, dogs, chickens, goats and horses. 

We are based in Huddersfield, but we travel around in our camper van for much of the time. This puts us in a perfect position to visit prospective jobs, to meet owners and animals and to learn routines, before a sit. We will potentially travel anywhere in the UK.

We aim to provide a warm, family-type atmosphere for the pets we care for. We put them first in all our plans and activities; when on a sit, and we aim to recreate their routines to make them feel reassured, safe and comfortable. 

We can sit your house and pet(s) for anything up to a month and preferably not less than a week. We will water your house plants and garden if you need. We will put your bins out and receive parcels, as necessary. 

We are reliable, conscientious, mature and caring people who have the leisure and inclination to make house- and pet-sitting our priority activity.
