I'm Sharon, and I have always loved animals, having grown up with a dog and rabbits and having gone on to have my own fish, hamsters,guinea pigs, rabbits and dogs with my own children . My working career however started with going into the field of childcare when younger and have stayed there til now and am now wanting to move into pet care having been inspired by my own dog. 

With over 30 years' experience working with children and parents, and like them, I understand all dogs and owners are different! With different needs and personalities and I would incorporate this into my walks and care of your dog(s) I am offering walks in the East Ipswich and surrounding areas or home visits after an initial meet up to get to know you both. I have a car so walks can be in local urban areas or out and about in local parks etc. I work as a nanny part-time and am hoping to get into some dog training following experiences with my own dog, and apart from 17 years owning two dogs , walking my mum's dog and caring for dogs while babysitting, doing dog care as a job is new to me. I am very much looking forward to developing my dog care experience further. 

Walks can be 30-60 mins, incorporating some training and fun along the way-subject to discussing with you first. All behaviour management is reward based with a calm, friendly approach while maintaining focus from the dog, having had lots of experience of needing to implement strategies with my own dog around difficulty walking and reactivity to some dogs on walks. If the care you require is more in the home with your dog I can also offer some basic training and enrichment activities with them as well as feeding as required, providing fresh water and giving any necessary medication. Should you need any other bits done in the home like getting post in , watering plants etc do let me know :)

I have had experience with Westies and poodle crossbreeds as well as Yorkshire terriers, Parsons Jack Russells and Labradors and have developing knowledge of other breeds through my own dogs' training classes. I am passionate about the holistic care of dogs and wanting to make their walk right for them so be assured that while you're unable to be with them they'll be having a great time! I am flexible in terms of altering walk times in hot weather and spending time with them at their home if they are unable to walk for some reason...just let me know and their needs will be catered for. 

Initially, I prefer to walk one dog at a time to give them the attention they deserve; however, once dogs and their personalities are known and after checking with each individual owner, I may take on two at a time, but no more. My own dog will not join me on these walks.I will carry your emergency contact numbers with me as well as your dog's vets details in case of an immediate emergency with them. My availability is a bit flexible at the moment. Meaning I am currently available Tu-Su potentially any time of day subject to your needs.
