About me!

Hello everyone!

My name's Lis, and I am so excited to be here! An ESOL teacher as my day job, I grew up around all different animals, including fish, tortoises, hamsters and of course cats. Since November 2021 I have been a proud cat mum to my moggie Milo- and I have always felt a natural love, affinity and respect for other beings, and I know first-hand that the furry (or not so furry!) creatures we share our homes and lives with are no less than our family. In 2025, I became a longterm foster mum to Benny Diego. Having now had five cats in my own life, I understand how every animal is different, just like humans are. It's so important to treat everyone as an individual. 

I have been petsitting since the lockdowns of 2020! I was lucky enough to do some house/petsitting around the UK in exchange for accommodation. Although I have never officially had my own dog, I was able to gain experience looking after them during the petsits and loved every minute. It was sad to go home, so decided I wanted to do more of it. I have now been petsitting with Pawshake since 2022, and the rest is history!

The above said, I would love to hang out with your special family member while you are away! 

Services offered!

I am available for all cat sitting or dog walking duties, from feeding and cleaning up after to playing games and having cuddle time (the latter of course, only if he/she wants to!). I am also available to look after other animals. I am usually available at the weekend and in the evenings, but my schedule can be flexible. During home visits, I will stay with your furry friend for at least 30 minutes. Dog walks will be up to an hour, depending on the dog. I always read instructions very carefully, and more often than not, more than once! Rest-assured, I will send you daily updates, and your friend will be in the best of care :) In addition, of course I can also water plants, collect post etc on request, and at no extra charge.

Special interest: cat training!

While I have no qualifications in this area, I have spent 2026 learning all I can about how to 'clicker train' cats. I have discovered that cats can be trained to do many things, from getting used to their carrier to giving their human a high five- and it can be a great form of enrichment. I am still learning myself, but I would love to share with you what i've found out!
