I’ve always loved dogs - ever since I was a child, they’ve been a huge part of my life and a real passion of mine. I understand their needs and the importance of providing attentive, thoughtful care. I regularly look after friends’ dogs while they’re away on holiday, so I’m very used to caring for dogs with different routines and personalities.

We have our own dog, Maya, a 16 year-old Jack Russell Terrier. She’s very calm and enjoys her own space, happily pottering about and minding her own business. She’s friendly and gentle, but at her age she’s not a fan of very boisterous puppies, so I’m best suited to dogs who are relatively calm and comfortable around other dogs. 

We live in a beautiful countryside location with endless walking opportunities right on our doorstep, with fields starting just outside our house. I offer at least a couple of walks a day, alongside plenty of time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We have a large and fully enclosed garden where dogs can play safely and freely.

I have hands-on experience volunteering at a local animal shelter, where I helped care for a variety of animals (cows, pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, lamas, birds etc.). I volunteered there weekly for several months which enabled me to gain experience with different temperaments and care needs. Due to the distance and fixed volunteering times, I wasn’t able to continue, but it was a very rewarding experience that deepened my love for animal care. 

I have two school-aged children (10 and 11) who have grown up with our dog and are fantastic with animals. They understand boundaries and treat pets with kindness and respect, helping visiting dogs feel safe and at ease.

I work from home, which means your dog will have company and supervision throughout the day. To ensure every dog gets the attention they deserve, I only board one dog at a time unless they come from the same household and already know each other.
