Hi, I’m Charis! I’m 34, based in Kilsyth, and have a lifelong love of dogs and animals. I’ve been around dogs since I was 10 years old and have experience with a variety of breeds, ages and personalities, from energetic working breeds to puppies and elderly dogs needing a little extra care and patience. I recently lost my beautiful Doberman, who was my best friend and constant companion for almost 10 years. We did absolutely everything together, from long forest walks and adventures to running together. She gave me a real passion for understanding dogs and their individual needs. I’ve also cared for a senior German Shepherd rescue with behavioural challenges, an elderly Labrador cross with complex health needs, and have experience hand-rearing two litters of puppies. I’ve been sitting and walking dogs on and off for a while I’m a keen runner and love being outdoors, especially exploring woodland trails and beautiful countryside. I’m particularly passionate about providing active, enriching walks for energetic dogs and working breeds, although I’m equally happy enjoying a gentle stroll with an older companion! I’m married with a five-year-old daughter and also work as a self-employed tattoo artist, which gives me some flexibility with my schedule. I offer dog walking, running sessions, puppy visits, drop-ins and pet care, always tailored to each dog’s personality, energy levels and routine. I understand how much our dogs mean to us. They’re family, and I’ll always treat any dog in my care with the same love, patience and attention I’d want for my own. My Services & How I Care for Your Dog I offer 30-minute and 60-minute walks, longer woodland adventures, running sessions for active dogs, puppy visits, drop-ins and pet care tailored to your dog’s individual needs. I’m particularly experienced with larger, energetic and working breeds, but I also love caring for smaller dogs, puppies and seniors who prefer a slower pace. Safety is always my priority. I take time to understand each dog’s temperament, training, recall, behaviour around other dogs and any specific requirements before caring for them. Dogs are kept on a lead unless off-lead exercise has been specifically agreed with their owner and is safe and appropriate. For home visits, I can provide feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, playtime, companionship and plenty of attention. Visit lengths and routines can be discussed to suit your dog’s needs. For daycare or longer periods of care, I discuss supervision arrangements, sleeping routines, exercise requirements and how your dog behaves around children or other animals before accepting a booking. I also have personal experience caring for elderly dogs with medical conditions, so I understand the importance of following feeding routines, medication instructions and monitoring their wellbeing. Any medication requirements will always be discussed and agreed in advance. I’m happy to arrange an initial meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other and make sure your dog feels comfortable and secure. Every dog is different, and my goal is to provide safe, reliable and genuinely loving care while giving owners complete peace of mind.
