Hello! My name is Emily and I run Emily's Bark and Ride, a proffesional dog walking and pet sitting service, based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. I love working with animals, and will always treat them with kindness and respect. I'm in the early stages of starting my new business so have availability. I have a range of experience with animals - I worked for Guide Dogs for the Blind for over 6 years, firstly as a Dog Care and Welfare Technician and then as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor (Guide Dog Trainer). During this time, I gained a lot of knowledge regarding dog health, behaviour and body language.

I also often fostered dogs in training, as well as those awaiting re-homing. Prior to this, I was an Animal Well-being Volunteer at Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, helping new dog intakes to settle in.

Although most of my experience is with dogs, I am comfortable caring for all small animals. I have done some cat sitting for friends and have previously owned a hamster.

I am trained in Dog First Aid and CPR (CPD accredited course), fully insured, DBS checked and a full member of The National Association of Registered Pet Sitters (NARPS) for your peace of mind. My vehicle is fitted with a crash-tested dog guard and cages.

I aim to tailor my services to suit your pet. I am primarily a dog walker, offering both solo and group walks (maximum 4 dogs per walk). In addition, I offer pet sitting and pet drop in visits in your home, ensuring your pet feels safe and loved if you are going away or working long hours.
