I’m Kat, and I've just left a 25 year career in marketing.I've always had dogs and I now share life with my senior cockapoo, Winnie; she is my world and we make the best team. I take her everywhere, trying to give her the best life experiences. Unfortunately, I don't have lots of photos with different dogs at this stage but I will add to my profile when I do.

A bit about me... I've previously volunteered for the Blue Cross. During my time with them, I helped socialise puppies and I also walked those waiting for their forever homes. I've now left an established career to retrain and become a Dog Trainer and Behaviourist with the Victoria Stilwell Academy - helping owners (and dogs) address undesirable behaviours to create, happier, healthier dogs.

I'm offering dog walking only, and not overnight stays or holiday cover as I have my own dog who has needs and wants too. She is also a bit reactive and so she can't be around other dogs or anything that has wheels or speed!

In terms of pet care, I offer a 30minute 1-2-1 walks - helping them stretch their legs and going to that all important toilet break. Safety first - not knowing your dog initially I'd like to keep it on a lead. I'd give your dog a chance to sniff and forage - doing what dogs do best. And, of course, mix the walks up a bit. Once the walk is done, if there is a special toy or enrichment activity ( kong, licky mat) that I can leave (from your home) that would further encourage mental and physical stimulation then I would sort that before I left whilst they wait for you to come home.

In terms of walks, it's important to give your dog variety and choice so we will mix things up a bit.

Dogs that show aggresive behaviour are not something I feel comfortable handling.
