I'm experienced in caring for both cats and dogs, and especially passionate about giving excellent care to older and/or medically complex pets. I love the wide variety in cat behaviour, whether they are happiest just existing in the same room, or sitting on my lap, I am always happy to take care of them. While I love all types of dogs, I'm best suited to dogs with less intensive exercise needs, such as smaller breeds or elder dogs. I also have experience taking care of reactive dogs.
My first proper petsitting experience was taking care of my neighbour's cat when they went on holiday. Even once her owners were back from holiday, we got into a routine where she would wait on the front doorstep every day for me to give her chin scritches. My interest in taking care of medically complex pets comes from personal experience, as my family dog suffered a spinal cord injury a few years ago. After excellent vet care, he has an excellent quality of life and is very happy, just with shorter walks than before and regular pain-management medication. I'm very happy to take care of pets that need a little extra attention and support, whether that is with medication, toileting, pain management, reactivity, anxiety, and anything else your pet needs support with.

I offer housesitting, drop-ins, and walks. If you're going to be away overnight or for multiple days, I generally recommend house sitting, as this guarantees your pet will receive love and care whenever they need it. I'll probably ask a lot of questions just to make sure their is minimal disruption to your pets regular lifestyle, and will of course send plenty of updates and photos while taking care of them. 

Drop-ins are usually half an hour each, and include feeding, refreshing water bowls, scooping litter trays/changing puppy pads (if relevant), medication (if relevant), letting pets out in the garden (if relevant), playtime, cuddles, and a detailed update including photos sent to you at the end of each drop-in. If your pet has any additional needs I've not listed, don't hesitate to ask if its something I can provide! I can provide 1-3 drop-ins per day. 

Walks are usually half an hour each, and will be in your local area. So far I've only walked dogs, but if you have a cat who has supervised outdoor walks, I'd love to take care of them! If you have a typical walk route that your dog is used to, I always appreciate if you can map it out for me to follow. I will default to walking your dog on lead, once I am confident they are safe to walk off-lead with me, we can play fetch too! For safety reasons, I cannot use retractable leads, and prefer to use my own leads - I will bring these to a meet and greet to check they are appropriate for your dog. I typically walk one dog household at a time. At the end of each walk, you'll receive a detailed update including photos. 

Housesitting will include all the same services as drop-ins, and walks (if relevant). As I work primarily as a pet-sitter, I will live "full-time" in your home while housesitting, so your pet can receive as much love and attention as they need. I do usually attend social events in town on some weekdays, as long as your pets are comfortable being home alone for a few hours. I will send 1-3 regular updates including photos (according to your preferences) a day, with more inbetween if you'd like to receive photos whenever your pets do something cute!
