Hi! I’m Marcela, a genuine animal lover who absolutely loves spending time with both dogs and cats. I grew up having dogs and have had several wonderful dogs of my own throughout my life, including a Shih Tzu, German Shepherd and Cocker Spaniel, who have sadly since passed away. Having my own dogs taught me how much love, patience and responsibility goes into caring for a pet, and just how much they truly become part of the family.

I also have experience looking after other dogs, including Dachshunds, Whippets and mixed-breed dogs. Because of this, I’ve been around dogs of very different sizes, personalities and energy levels — from smaller companion dogs to larger and more active breeds. I understand that every dog is different, and I’m comfortable taking the time to understand their individual personality, whether they are energetic and playful, calm and cuddly, or a little shy and nervous at first.

I also love cats and understand that they often have very different needs. Some want lots of affection and company, while others prefer having their own space. I always respect each pet’s boundaries and allow them to become comfortable with me at their own pace.

For dogs, I can provide regular walks of around 30–60 minutes, adapted to their age, health, energy level and normal routine, as well as playtime, feeding, cuddles and plenty of attention. For cats, I can take care of feeding, fresh water, litter trays, playtime, companionship and, of course, cuddles when they want them!

I want any pet staying with me to feel safe, relaxed and at home. I’m happy to follow the routine they are already used to, including their usual feeding and walking times, sleeping arrangements and any little habits that help them feel comfortable. I would always discuss everything with their owner before their stay so I can understand exactly what they need.

Pets in my care will not be left alone for long periods. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for as much as possible and make sure they receive plenty of company, attention, exercise and toilet breaks throughout the day. I’m also very happy to send regular photos and updates, so you can see what your furry family member is getting up to and enjoy your time away knowing they are in good hands. 🐶🐱📸

Safety is extremely important to me. I carefully follow all instructions regarding food, medication, walks and any special requirements. I’m also patient with pets who may feel nervous or unsettled in a new environment and would never force interaction, giving them the time, reassurance and space they need to feel secure. In an emergency, I would contact you immediately and, if necessary, take your pet to their usual vet or the nearest emergency veterinary clinic.

Most importantly, having had my own dogs, I know how precious our pets are and how much trust it takes to leave them in someone else’s care. I would treat every dog or cat with the same love, patience, attention and responsibility I would give my own, making sure they feel safe, loved and part of the family while you’re away.
