My name is Anna and I am 28 years old. After being a primary school teacher for 5 years in London I have recently moved to Paris and work as an au pair.

I have always loved animals and dreamed of being a vet when I grew up (but was drawn to teaching instead). My dear dog, Tucker, was with my family from the age of 6 until 21. After he died, I missed having a dog so I volunteered at a dog rescue shelter until I finished university. It was often very big dogs who were abandoned, so I took them for long walks, brushed their fur, cleaned their cages and gave them lots of love and attention. I have experience working with dogs of all ages and all sizes.

Anytime I return to Ireland for a visit, I beg family and friends to let me dog sit their pets, as I just love being around dogs. Walking is my favourite form of exercise, so I will happily take dogs for lengthy walks, at least one long. I am familiar with a few dog-friendly parks in Paris where your dog could have a chance to socialise with others and get some good exercise. I like to stay fit, so running and playing with them would be great exercise for both them and for me.

My workday typically starts at 2pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and at 12pm on Wednesdays. Therefore I am available every morning from 7am to carry out home visits or walk dogs. I am also available most weekends, as I live alone and do not have any dependents. During home visits I am capable of staying for a few hours with your pet, as my work does not begin until the afternoon (from Monday to Friday). At the weekend I will be able to stay for longer. I am free to water plants, bring in mail, and do any other little tasks you need. I am happy to brush your dog's hair, feed them, provide oral medication if necessary and play with them lots. I will always tidy up after them and make sure they feel safe and content around me. I understand that I would be a guest in your home, so guarantee that I will always leave your home tidy and ensure that everything is locked up when I leave.

I would love to have my own dog someday, but as I live in an apartment it is not practical right now. I would be so thrilled to look after your pet and just know that they will be treated like royalty with me.
