About Steven
My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from a lifelong passion for dogs and a genuine desire to provide exceptional care when owners can't be there. As a proud parent of two spaniels—a 5-year-old Springer and 3-year-old Cocker—I understand the deep bond between pets and their families, and the trust required when leaving your beloved companion with someone else.
What drives me is the opportunity to combine my love for animals with my professional development as an aspiring dog trainer. I hold a Level 3 Canine First Aid certification through iPET Network, which reflects my commitment to providing the highest standard of care and safety. My 6 years of hands-on experience with high-energy, intelligent breeds has taught me that every dog has unique needs, personality traits, and preferences.
I specialize in drop-in visits that go beyond basic care—I incorporate mental stimulation, enrichment activities, and gentle training reinforcement tailored to each dog's requirements.
Working as a freelance writer from home provides exceptional flexibility, allowing me to accommodate various schedules and provide personalized attention during visits. I believe pet sitting is about more than just supervision—it's about maintaining your dog's routine, providing companionship, and ensuring they feel loved and secure in your absence.
