About Carly
Hi!
I'm Carly, a lifelong dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities.
Over the years, I’ve owned and cared for a wide variety of breeds, including Labradors, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Collies, Pomeranians and Borzois, to name just a few.
I currently have a four-year-old Labrador who I’ve raised and trained from a puppy, so I’m very familiar with everything that comes with those early years — from establishing routines and basic training to managing lots of energy, enthusiasm and the occasional case of selective Labrador hearing! 😄
Raising and training my boy has taught me a lot about patience, consistency, positive reinforcement and adapting to an individual dog’s personality.
I also currently volunteer with The Cinnamon Trust, helping people with the care of their much-loved pets. This has given me even more experience caring for dogs outside of my own household and working with different breeds, temperaments, routines and needs.
🐾 Dog Walking
I’m available for dog walks Monday to Sunday, between 8am and 5pm, so I can offer plenty of flexibility for regular walks or occasional help when life gets busy.
Every dog is different, so I tailor walks to their age, fitness, temperament and energy levels. Whether your dog loves a good energetic walk, wants to stop and investigate every interesting smell along the way, or prefers a gentler potter at their own pace, I’m happy to work around them.
I’m also happy to follow the commands and training methods you already use, helping to keep things familiar and consistent for your dog.
🏡 House Visits
I also offer house visits for dogs who need a little company and care while you’re out. Visits can include feeding and refreshing water, toilet or garden breaks, playtime, companionship and, of course, plenty of fuss and cuddles if that’s what your dog enjoys.
I’ll follow any instructions you leave and make sure your dog is comfortable and settled before I go.
House visits are a great option if you’re at work, out for the day or simply need somebody reliable to pop in and check everything is okay.
🐶 Dog Sitting in Your Home
For longer periods, I offer dog sitting in your own home, allowing your dog to stay in the environment where they already feel happiest and most comfortable.
I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, toilet breaks, playtime and plenty of attention. Before looking after your dog, I’ll take the time to learn about their personality, routine, likes and dislikes, commands and any funny little quirks I should know about.
I understand how much trust is involved in leaving somebody else responsible for your four-legged family member. Their safety, happiness and wellbeing will always be my priority, and I’m happy to provide regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing they’re being well looked after.
Whether your dog is an energetic adventurer, a professional ball-chaser, a puppy still learning the ropes or a champion sofa-dweller, I’ll treat them as an individual and give them plenty of patience, kindness and attention.
Muddy paws, slobbery tennis balls and negotiations over whether that mysterious thing found on the pavement really needs to be eaten are all part of the service! 🐾
