Hi, my names Luke. I'm 27 and live in Lancaster. I work in police custody identifying and supporting offenders with vulnerabilities that may be contributing towards their offending behaviour. I have a BSc and MSc in forensic and clinical psychology and I am hoping to complete my doctorate sometime in the future and work as a clinical Psychologist.
Onto the important part. I absolutely love dogs, I stop to stroke and chat to them at any possible opportunity. I grew up with a dog, Lexi (the black and white one in my photos). I have a friend I work with who I regularly dog sit for. I really enjoy getting to meet all the different dogs that I look after, it's the best parts of my week. A dream would be to open my own doggy daycare full time but for now getting to hang out with your dogs is a great compromise.
I would love my own dog, I've talked about it for years and tried to see if it could be done. But with me working full time 12 hour shifts, it just wouldn't be feasible. I don't have enough money to hire dog walkers or sitters and it would feel cruel to get a dog knowing it will spend a lot of time home alone. So, for now, I have decided to not get a dog for the foreseeable future, which makes me very sad. However, not all is lost. I love seeing, meeting, playing with and just hanging out with any dog, even if they aren't my own. Which I why I signed up to this app, so I can spend time with them. Aslong as I'm given enough information about a dogs temperament, character, needs and preferences, I'm happy to take any out for a walk or look after for a period of time. I don't have heaps of "professional" experience but what I do have is a genuine love and passion for dogs and I have been providing daycare and boarding services for over a year now. I also love walking and trying to keep fit but I find it so much more fulfilling with a dog than on my own.
I also recently started an Instagram. More for fun than anything just to document my dog boarding so if you want to see what your dog and other dogs get upto while they're here then follow the page.
Important to note: I work irregular shifts so if you're looking for someone who can look after your dog on a consistent basis I might not be the best fit, but I'm happy to try and see what we can work out. Based on your location I may be able to provide a discount due to reduced travel expenses. My availability sometimes only goes as far ahead as 2 months. This is usually due to waiting for my work rota, at which time I will be able to add in more availability. Also, although I work full time, my availability is when I am not at work, so you're dog won't be getting left alone while I go to work. If you are looking at availability further ahead it might show that I have none but this is due to not having my rota. Please feel free to check again closer to the time.
Also 10% off first booking!

Chunky and Aurora had the best time being looked after by Luke!
They had so many lovely adventures while we were away and I loved getting all the cute photos of them.
Definitely recommend if you need someone to look after your pet 😊
Thank you Luke!
Luke was perfect for our staffie mix, Devito. Our 2 year old rescue. We had only had him 3 months when we left him for the night with Luke so we were nervous about leaving him. But Luke was so welcoming that Devito felt right at home. After we left Luke took him for a run, which is just what he would have needed. We got regular updates all night and the next morning when I picked Devito up, I had a very happy dog. We couldn’t have been happier with Luke and would definitely use him again. Thanks Luke!
