Hello! A little bit about me - I have always had animals in my life and in the family home since I can remember, a house is not a home without animals 🥰 I am 45 and currently live with my husband,. We have two cats, two rabbits and a tortoise. If I could, I would have more! I have had my own dogs in the past, a mixed breed Sophster I adopted from a shelter when I lived in America and two Cavalier King Charles spaniels Rascal & Paddy. I am always on babysitting duty for the family dogs and currently volunteer at a doggy daycare. I help look after pets for friends and family and private clients when they are away, including a wide and varied species, including Pole cats, hamsters, chickens, ducks, fish, and reptiles. Pet care I offer, I’m happy to care for pets of all kinds and can tailor care around you and your pet’s usual routine. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding and companionship, as well as overnight stays in your own home for longer periods. I can also offer boarding in my own home for suitable dogs, particularly calm dogs who are comfortable and experienced around cats. As I have cats of my own who are used to a very chilled and quiet environment. All home boarding would be arranged following a meet and greet to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable. I have a secure enclosed garden and can board smaller pets too, including outdoor rabbits, and a spare room for hamsters and other small animals. I’m always happy to chat about your pet’s individual needs and see what arrangement would work best. 🐾 Having my own brood and a deep love of all animals, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone. I aim to make sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for, sticking to their usual routines and treating them like my own. Previous experience and employment: I have worked in the care sector for 29 yrs, Initially in early years education, then paediatrics and adult mental health in hospital settings. After many years working in care, I am now looking to make a change and follow a path that feels a little more heart-led. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’d love to build on that by spending more of my working life caring for them and completing my degree which mixes animals and therapy together.

Typical care: Dog walks are usually 30–60 minutes depending on the dog and their individual needs, and drop-in visits are generally around 30 minutes or longer where required. I always follow each pet’s usual routine and keep alone time to a minimum, depending on their age, temperament and individual needs. I am happy to administer medication where required, provided clear instructions are given by the owner. 🐾

I do not drive, however this has not been an issue to meet the needs and care of the services I provide. Should emergency veterinary transport ever be needed, I’m familiar with using local pet taxi services.
