Hi, I’m Lou! I’m a recent University of Leeds graduate and a lifelong animal lover based in the Newcastle/Gosforth area. Before heading off for a ski season in France this November, I’m looking to spend my time doing something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals.

I’ve grown up with pets and currently have both a dog and a cat of my own, so I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. Although I don’t have years of professional pet-sitting experience, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for my own pets and helping friends and family with theirs. I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust, and I’ll always care for them as if they were my own.

I’m available for dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting and house sitting. Dog walks can be tailored to your pet’s age, energy level and routine, whether they enjoy a gentle stroll or a longer adventure. During drop-in visits, I’ll provide fresh food and water, playtime, company and plenty of affection. For pet or house sitting, I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, making sure they feel settled, comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have complete peace of mind.

I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes and ages, and I’m happy to look after other small pets too. If your pet has any specific routines, dietary requirements or behavioural needs, I’ll carefully follow your instructions to make sure they receive the best possible care. If they require routine medication, I’m happy to administer it as long as I’m given clear instructions beforehand.

I understand that some pets can be nervous or anxious when their owners are away, so I’ll always be patient, calm and allow them to settle at their own pace without forcing interaction. My priority is making sure they feel safe, secure and comfortable in their own environment.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, I’ll stay calm, contact you immediately and follow any emergency instructions you’ve provided. If necessary, I’ll seek veterinary assistance straight away to make sure your pet receives the care they need.

I’m friendly, reliable and organised, with over seven years of experience working in hospitality, where I’ve developed strong communication skills, responsibility and attention to detail. My goal is simple: to make sure your pets feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away, while giving you confidence that they’re in caring and reliable hands.
