I grew up in Southern California with birds, fish, rabbits, dogs, and four siblings, so it's not difficult to see how I developed a deep love of animals at a young age! As I grew, so did my experience with all sorts of critters. I have been a proud pet parent to cats and dogs, as well as birds, reptiles, crustaceans, rodents, and even two crickets (which I named Jiminy and Jillickers). My love for animals drove me to pursue a career working with them. I started in pet shops as an Animal Care Specialist - cleaning habitats, feeding animals, educating the public, and working with veterinarians to provide medical care - and in 2009 I gained my certification as a Veterinary Assistant in the United States. 

I moved from Los Angeles to the UK in 2011, putting my dreams of becoming a Veterinary Technician on hold. Since then, I have adopted and cared for a lab/staffy dog named Cody, and more recently, a lovely domestic shorthair cat named Kato.

Existing alongside pets comes so naturally to me. I am respectful, empathetic, attentive, and patient. There is no critter I wouldn't be happy to befriend!
