Growing up with a golden retriever gave me a lifelong love of dogs that has never left me. I also have my own two year old miniature poodle at home and she is honestly my whole world. I FaceTime my mum just so she can show me her face. That is how much I love dogs.

As a university student I have a really flexible schedule and I am more than happy to work around yours, whether you need a regular dog walker or someone to pet sit every now and then. I used to walk my neighbours’ dogs all the time and loved every second of it.

Being away at university means I miss my girl every single day, and that is exactly what inspired me to sign up. I get to do something I genuinely love while making sure your dog gets all the walks, attention and cuddles they deserve.

When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they are fed, walked, given plenty of treats and kept entertained. I love trying to teach dogs new tricks too, as it is such a fun way to keep them stimulated and happy.

My walks typically range from 20 minutes to a full hour depending on what your dog needs, and I always make sure they are getting proper exercise and enrichment, not just a quick lap around the block. During walks I love to let dogs explore, sniff around and just be dogs. I also enjoy having a play session, whether that is fetch, tug or just a good run around.

I am also pretty good at reading dog behaviour and body language. If I ever sense a dog is uncomfortable, overwhelmed or in a situation that does not feel right, I will calmly remove them and make sure they feel safe. Your dog’s wellbeing always comes first.

When it comes to emergencies, I would contact the owner straight away and get the dog to a vet without hesitation if needed. I would always make sure I have your vet’s details and any specific information before the sit begins so I am fully prepared. I am also happy to administer medication as long as clear instructions are given beforehand. When it comes to different temperaments, I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and will always take the time to make sure every pup feels safe, calm and happy in my care.

In terms of trust, I think my own dog speaks for herself! I have a two year old miniature poodle who is, to put it kindly, an absolute handful with zero recall. Yet I have never once lost her. If I can handle her, I can handle anything. You can feel completely confident leaving your dog in my care!
