Hi, I'm Camoya. I've always loved animals and have been working with them since 2015, mainly through my career in zoology and conservation at an ecology centre and in zoos!

I've worked hands-on with tigers, bears, sloths, birds, fish, and many reptiles, including salamanders, snakes, turtles, lizards, and the occasional frog. I have over 5 years of experience dog-sitting and cat-sitting. I've volunteered at multiple humane societies, so I'm trained to handle all types of animals that may be in distress. I can ensure safety by understanding distress signals and body language to gauge an animal's comfort level. 

My dog walks are usually between 20 and 30 minutes. However, my routine for caring for your furry family members is very tailored to them. Keeping animals with a similar routine, I find, is quite useful in mitigating separation anxiety, so I tend to mimic how you take care of your furry one. I am in constant communication with you as I take care of your pet. 

I send updates every 3 hours with photos, and if there are any emergencies, I am prepared to handle vet appointments and serve as your advocate while you're away. I currently have 2 cats and a puppy at home with a snake on the way, so suffice to say, I love spending time with animals!

Being a sitter feels like great work for me as I'll get to meet more animals and people in the Oxford area! As a student working on a PhD in conservation, I find my daily schedule is something I can tailor, so I'm very flexible with my availability. I'll work to build a trusting relationship with you and your pet and make sure you both have a positive experience!
