As a mum of two and a lifelong cat enthusiast, I know just how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your furry family members while you're away. Cats have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I've shared my home with many wonderful felines over the years, including my current queen of the house, Arya! 😻

I've also rescued and cared for numerous cats throughout the years, and I have experience looking after dogs too. Animals truly are my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Recently,

McCavity was last seen the day Nick passed away. As a half-feral cat, he was incredibly independent and wary of people, so finding him was a challenge.

After discovering his usual hunting area near Millennium Green woodland, I set up a secluded feeding spot under a tree and left food there every day for a month. He only appeared three times, but eventually he learned to trust the routine.

Knowing McCavity's personality, I understood I would only get one chance. A humane trap wasn't the right option for him, and I wanted to avoid causing him unnecessary stress. Instead, while feeding him, I carefully and calmly secured him in a cat carrier. It was the least threatening way to bring him to safety.

I caught McCavity the day after Nick's Celebration of Life. ❤️👼

Today, McCavity has a safe and loving home with Nick's best friend, Mark. He already knew Mark, and their shared connection to Nick has made the transition as smooth as possible. Mark understands and respects McCavity's half-feral nature, allowing him to live happily on his own terms.

I continue to pay for McCavity's insurance and healthcare using the gift Nick left me, and I will always share responsibility for his wellbeing throughout his life.

Of all the animals I've cared for, no experience has required more patience, determination, and commitment than bringing McCavity to safety. In the midst of losing Nick, rescuing McCavity felt nothing short of a miracle. ❤️👼🐾
