A bit about me 🐾🐓
Hi, I’m Gemma, I’m a 47yo mum and nanny to two wonderful children and two gorgeous granddaughters. For the past four years, I’ve lived in my caravan on a farm down here in Cornwall—it started out of necessity, but I absolutely love the lifestyle and the peace it gives me.
After many years surviving the 9-5 grind, it took a toll on my mental health. Discovering I’m Audhd changed everything for the better; it helped me realise that I thrive best when I control my own environment, keep things structured, and spend my time around animals.
How I work with animals (and their owners!)
I’ve looked after animals my whole life, from rabbits to chickens. Nowadays, I spend one day a week helping out on my daughter’s mini-farm, so I’m completely used to a bit of everything—high-energy Collies and spaniels, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and even a flock of rare breed chickens..

Because of my AuDHD, I am naturally very intuitive with how animals are feeling, and I absolutely love a predictable routine. I am a deep thinker and organize everything in my head first, which means I can actually move quite fast and handle a chaotic situation or a lively puppy without breaking a sweat. I can do the high-energy stuff or the calm and peaceful when needed.
I have also been a holiday and private home cleaner for 8 years in the past, so I can also help with anything round the home if needed. I can tailor your needs entirely 🤗
I can go to any walks that your dog is used to around home, or as I have a car we can go further afield and go to any place you think they would like. I'm happy to do long or short walks depending on your dog's needs. Comfortable with oral and topical medications, but I do not have experience with or offer injectable medications.
As I live in a caravan I can't have any pets at my home, I would need to come to you. I am available any day of the week by prior arrangement. (Depending obviously if I'm on another job)
- Respectful House Sitting & Drop-Ins: I value my own cozy space, so I will treat your home with total respect and keep it clean and tidy.
- Following your routine to the letter: Because I thrive on predictability, your feeding times, house rules, and pet habits will be followed perfectly.
- Simple, text-based updates: I keep all my business and updates text-only. It means nothing gets lost in translation, (it helps me if I have things written down but the occasional call is fine :) ) You'll get regular photo and text updates so you can relax ☺️
