Hi, I’m Miranda! I’ve had pets my whole life and genuinely love caring for animals of all kinds. I have a calm, patient presence and I’m very dedicated to making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after while their owners are away. I personally own the kind of pet that makes you go "What? Really?", so I am familiar with more than you think!

I have experience with cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and other exotic pets, having owned and cared for a variety of animals myself. I’m especially confident with birds and reptiles, so I’m happy to follow specific feeding, cleaning, lighting, temperature or handling routines where needed.

I offer pet sitting, house sitting, drop-in visits and general pet care. This can include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning bowls/enclosures/litter trays, bathing or cleaning animals where appropriate, giving attention and companionship, and keeping to your pet’s usual routine. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you know your pet is settled.

Clear instructions are very important to me. I only take bookings where owners provide specific, written guidance about their pet’s needs, routine, temperament and any important do’s or don’ts. I will not accept vague bookings, as I want to make sure I can care for each animal safely and confidently.

I have hands-on experience with exotic pets, not just a general interest in them. I currently care for my cockatiel full time, including his free-roam time, mental stimulation, companionship, routine and daily needs. My family has also had a snake for over ten years, and I have experience feeding, cleaning and caring for him, so I’m confident with clear reptile care instructions.

For house sitting, I’ll always treat your home with respect and I’m happy to do light tidying at no extra cost, within reason. I can also stop at shops for pet supplies if funds are provided.

I'm always happy to have a talk about certain requirements that are outside of my boundaries, I will happily make exceptions if they are communicated thoroughly beforehand.

Due to health conditions, I’m unable to walk large or exceptionally strong dogs, and I can’t take on pets with serious behavioural issues. Pets must be trained and safe to handle.

For dog walking, I prefer calm, familiar routes such as quiet streets, parks or open spaces, depending on what your dog is used to. Walk length can be discussed based on your dog’s age, energy level and routine, but I will always prioritise safety, comfort and not overdoing it. Due to health conditions, I’m unable to walk large, exceptionally strong or reactive dogs, so dogs must be lead-trained, manageable and safe around people/other animals.

In unexpected situations, I will stay calm, contact you as soon as possible, and follow any emergency instructions you have provided. This is another reason I ask for clear written guidance, including vet details, emergency contacts, medication needs, allergies, escape risks, and anything your pet may react badly to. I’d much rather know everything in advance so I can respond properly and keep your pet safe.

I’m flexible where possible and can sometimes take last-minute bookings, including the day before or even the morning of, depending on availability.

The more detail you give me, the better. I'd always rather have too much information than not enough! So, please don't ever think you're coming across as 'too paranoid', I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone, so I'll always care for them with patience, respect, and plenty of attention.
