About Becky

If your dog is your priority but your schedule is demanding, you may need regular weekly daycare or weekly holiday cover that matches the standard you set in the rest of your life - and that's where we can help professionals by looking after their best friend(s).

We help to support naval families; university professionals; CEOs and those executives that travel frequently around the world; to ensure that their dog is cared for to provide total peace of mind whilst they are away.

Longer term bookings can be arranged on request.

We provide a calm, structured, premium home-from-home environment for dogs whose owners want complete peace of mind while they’re working, travelling, or simply juggling a busy life.

This is reflected both in the pricing and standard of our care and we never have more than two dogs from outside our own household in situ; at any one time.

We specialise in Labradors and Retrievers and cocker spaniels that are adults (over the age of 3) and mature dogs that need special and quiet attention.

Please feel free to enquire if you have other breeds if we have availability and you are able to agree to a meet and greet then we are happy to speak to you.

PLEASE NOTE we will not take dogs without a meet and greet with our dog; and are interested in longer term support of a select number of dogs local to Old Portsmouth; Portsmouth; Chichester; Whiteley; Fareham and surrounding areas; rather than a volume based set up as a one off.

If you have been referred by one of our current customers please let us know their name when you message us.

One off requests on an ad hoc basis (a day only) at short notice (less than a week in advance) will be declined especially during peak periods and holidays; as we will prioritise existing and repeat customers and their dogs. We encourage bookings of a week or more due to our availability and also demand locally.

During hot weather and heatwaves; even if we show availability - we will need to confirm via a message that it is safe to take your pet. We are likely to decline unless we have a longstanding commitment to you for a booking.

This is to ensure that our standards are consistently high and that your dog is given the best care possible.

We appreciate your understanding.

About us:

At 54, I bring calm, grounded energy, patience and reliability, and I understand that every dog is not just a pet, but a much-loved member of the family with their own routines, preferences and personality.

I live with my husband and Labrador, Florrie, who is very much part of the household and keeps me closely connected to the day-to-day joy, intelligence and sensitivity of dogs; Labradors are a special kind of breed and they need time; attention and consistency.

I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets since I was 14, from energetic puppies to older dogs needing a gentler, more considered approach.

Over the years, friends, family and neighbours have trusted me repeatedly because they know I treat every dog as an individual, not a booking.

Each dog in my care receives a genuinely premium, home-from-home experience. That means structured attention to their routine, feeding habits, behaviours and emotional wellbeing, tailored properly to them, not a generic approach.

We are in a rare and fortunate location, directly across from a lush and green, fully enclosed wooded village green and dog park, allowing for safe, enriching daily exercise, off-lead time where appropriate, and plenty of stimulation and variety to meet dogs and socialise.

At home, dogs are fully integrated into family life.

We have a secure, fenced courtyard garden (6ft), and dogs are welcome on furniture and beds so they can properly relax and feel part of the household rather than being kept at a distance.

We are experienced with older dogs and will always adapt care to their pace, comfort and medical needs, including medication, rest and gentle routines where required.

For safety and wellbeing, we only accept vaccinated dogs that are spayed or neutered and fully house trained and used to being indoors and are friendly and fully socialised with other dogs and dogs that have no behavioural or barking issues or separation anxiety from their owner.

We also offer a proper meet and greet before any booking, because trust and fit matter on both sides.

Once in our care - we set up a dedicated WhatsApp connection for you, providing regular updates, messages and photos so you stay closely connected to your dog at all times. Communication is proactive and consistent, so you always know how your dog is getting along through our daily Pupdate.

Our service is intentionally positioned for owners who want a higher standard of care and attention for their dog and someone with over 40 years experience of dogs and their care and support.

Please note - We are not a budget, volume-based setup.

We work with people who value quality, trust, consistency and peace of mind, and who are used to expecting a certain standard in how things are done.

Our rates reflect the level of individual attention, structure and care provided. This is a calm, considered, high-trust environment and home where dogs are genuinely cared for, not just supervised. There is no heavy traffic or footfall and it's an adult only home with no visiting children under 18.

My motivation is simple: I love dogs, I respect their individuality, and I take real pride in creating a space where they feel safe, understood and genuinely happy — and where you feel completely confident leaving them in our care.

Thank you ❤️
