But my heart needs animal energy in its life, and that’s where your furry family comes in! I built my hands-on dog experience in the deep end living with my mum’s incredible trio, (Mushu, Stella, and PJ) and doing dog training classes to keep the peace. Those three taught me that every single pet has a unique personality: Mushu is a total sweetheart who loves long walks, but he’s an anxious boy who needs non-stop reassurance, gentle praise, and soft cuddles to feel confident. He has severe allergies, so for his care I got comfortable giving pills and weekly injections. PJ absolutely despises the outside world and refuses walks! With him, I learned how to turn indoor space into an adventure with mental enrichment games. He used to be a major anxious eater, but through patience and positive training, he now politely waits for his "ok" before eating. Stella is dog-reactive, which was my biggest masterclass. I learned how to read subtle body language, spot early warning signs of stress before a reaction happens, and navigate walks calmly without putting her in overwhelming situations. I am a cat lover too and also very experienced with them. I fostered several cats during the pandemic and thanks to my brother’s two menaces, Giu and Ney, I still get to have them around. I’m tuned into cat body language, their unique play styles, and respecting their independent boundaries. I even have a failproof (though sadly not scratch proof) method for giving pills and making sure they are taken.
