Hi! I’m Lauren, I am currently in my second year of studying Psychology in London. Because I am studying full time I needed a flexible way to gain a bit of extra money and what better way to do this than through doing something I love, which is caring for animals!

From dogs, cats, bunnies and even chickens, I have cared for them all and love every minute of it. Connecting with animals has always been something that has come naturally to me, sometimes it feels like they understand me more than people do. I have cared for dogs for family and friends before as well as also fostering rescue dogs in my spare time to keep me occupied whilst I had a break from studying. I have also grown up around various dogs owned by family. From breeds such as westies and chihuahuas, to cocker spaniels, labradors and even belgian malinois mixes! I have experienced it all, so I have plenty of knowledge and confidence in my ability to ensure their needs are met.

Fostering rescue dogs has allowed me to further develop my skills and knowledge on caring for animals with various behaviours, such as nervousness and reactivity, therefore I am happy to accommodate the needs of your individual pet and give them the environment they need to feel as safe and secure as possible when under my care, their comfort and happiness will always be my top priority. I can guarantee that if I am the lucky one chosen to care for your furry friend they will definitely be spoilt!

I used to own chickens and currently work as a chicken care volunteer for the hens on my university campus, so have ample amounts of experience with them. Anyone with chickens of their own can be reassured that they will be coming home to a flock of very happy hens if under my care.

Although I do not have much experience with owning cats, I do have experience with them via catsitting and I am comfortable caring for them also. Having had pets of my own, I take the wellbeing of animals very seriously so any instructions you give in regards to caring for your beloved pets will definitely be followed correctly.

I am currently living in university accommodation, meaning I am unfortunately unable to provide services such as pet boarding or daycare at my home due to restrictions. Although, I am located near the gorgeous Richmond park and live on a beautiful, nature filled, pet friendly university campus so there are plenty of places nearby to go for walks if I am local to you.

During term times I will be offering pet care services in London only. However outside of term times such as summer holidays etc. I will also offer services in my home town area of Leicestershire. I am fairly flexible and as long as I have at least 24hrs notice beforehand I am happy to help if possible, it is whatever works for us both at the time. I am not planning to make this a full time job or career, I am simply trying to find a way to earn a bit of extra money through doing something that brings me joy and still allows me some flexibility when needed. I really miss my pets that have passed, so any excuse to be around animals I will take.
