Hi, I am Amelia, I am 21 and I have grown up around dogs and cats all my life, with a golden retriever of my own (so I’m used to outgoing, large, bouncy dogs) and my childhood dog being a rescue dog that we trained. I have done a lot of pet, house and babysitting for friends and family since I was 14, so have a bit of experience. Although I don't have professional pet qualifications, I am a qualified swim teacher and lifeguard, so have worked a lot with children and in stressful situations, which gives me skills that can be useful around pets and homes.

I do dog walking / cat and dog sitting overnight and day, and house sitting. I am doing this to raise funds for Student Minds Charity, as I am running the Budapest Marathon in October 2026 (I am very active myself, so good 30 min walks will be given unless you choose otherwise). Student Minds is a charity very close to my heart and 100% of the fees are going to the JustGiving Page (I can send as proof in communications).

I absolutely love dogs, especially big dogs, as well as cats. I grew up on a farm surrounded by horses and cows, so comfortable with all animals; ferrets, rabbits, lizards, tortoises, etc. APART FROM SPIDERS (sorry). Having this experience, I have seen a lot of different behaviours and I'm more than happy with any, but I would love to know the pet's personality beforehand, just so I can do the best job possible! Especially knowing, for emergency situations, what works best for you when dealing with your pet. For safety reasons, on dog walks they will be on lead at all times, as I will not risk dogs running away to avoid emergency situations. I am more than happy to run with them if they require more exercise.

A Typical Visit: 

Dog Walking - Pick up on time, an on lead safe walk to and around the nearest park or foresty area (i know the area quiet well so i have a lot of good routes) 30 min walk, and drop off back to you ensuring they enjoyed the walk and have had a drink and are happy. With a photo before, during and after walk. always!

Sitting - 2 walks a day with feeding at times specified by you. Regular photos (and calls if asked for) constant care always in the same room.

In any emergency situations (for example, choking or any medical emergency), I will contact you and your vet (if details are provided) IMMEDIATELY and, being first aid trained in humans (not the same, but I have basic knowledge with having a pet myself), deal with the situation however you would like me to, calmly and responsibly.

I am available 7 days a week, 24 hours, as my work is super flexible and I can work from my phone. Until the 21st of September, as I am moving back to University.
