When you have to go away or work long hours, you may worry about leaving your pet home alone. Have you ever wondered “Is there a pet or dog sitter in Rumney that can help?”.

Luckily, with Pawshake, you can easily find local and trusted pet and dog carers from Rumney to provide drop in visits and other services. This means a pet sitter will come and visit your pet at a time you both agree on and provide lots of love and personal attention. This can include playtime in the backyard, a walk to the local park, or just some cuddle time. Our pet carers can also administer medication, give food, and refresh the water bowl.

In home pet sitting services are a great way to break up the day and enrich it for your pet. Pawshake pet sitters have extensive experience caring for a range of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and more. If you have multiple pets, home visits are a great option to ensure that they all get a visit and lots of attention during the day.

Drop in visits are the least stressful option for your pet because your pet can stay in their favourite environment – their own home in Rumney. Their surroundings will be familiar and our loving and passionate Pawshake sitter will spoil them each day. Our sitters will treat your home with respect and are flexible with timing, requests and durations. All this can be discussed before you make a home visit booking.

Pet boarding is a great option for when you are away for a few days and your pet needs overnight care. Unlike pet hotels, Pawshake pet boarding allows you to arrange a personalised daily routine for your pet, whether this be extra belly rubs, playtime or 24 hour supervision. Your pet will stay with the pet sitter in a cosy home environment, rather than a large, impersonal pet hotel.

So whether you need just one day, a week or even a month, you’ll be able to find an experienced pet or dog carer to accommodate you and your pet’s needs in Rumney. The best part is that your Pawshake pet sitter is from your local neighbourhood, so they will be familiar with the area.

Our pet carers also have a range of experiences which include puppies, seniors, nervous pets and dog training. So if your pet has special requirements, you’ll be sure to find a pet sitter that is a good match for you.

Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. At Pawshake, we understand that you might feel a little uneasy allowing a pet sitter to enter your home or arranging pet boarding at their place. This is why Pawshake pet sitters also have reviews from other pet parents that are publicly available on their profile for you to read.

Each pet sitting home visit and pet boarding booking made through Pawshake is covered by the Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer support 7 days a week and more. Rest easy knowing that your pets will be well looked after by one of our expert pet carers in Rumney.

Tails Trails Cardiff Dog Walking & Sitting Services
Based in Rumney, Cardiff
Fully Insured, DBS, MDWA certified & K9 First Aid
Lifelong dog owner & a passion for helping animals.
Experienced dog walker (both pack and solo walks)
Born and raised in Cardiff myself, I have 2 gorgeous girls of my own - a Shar Pei called Myla who we have had since lockdown & a Rescue Pointer called Lana from Cyprus. They are our entire world! Spoilt beyond belief (of course) and are the main driving force behind my dog walking business.
Not only do I provide walking services, but I provide constant repetition of training, ensuring walks are structured and controlled, as well as letting dogs be dogs.
I offer half an hour and hour walks, with group or solo slots available of up to 4 dogs capacity per walk.
If there are any commands you are working on at the moment you would like me to reinforce in my walks always let me know and I will encourage your dogs to continue with this training.
For any emergency situations, I will always require beforehand your vets information so that appropriate care can be provided.
I am able to administer medication if required, and feed your pets after a walk too if needed!
My Pawshake availability will be worked around my business availability (I am a full time dog walker) but I will do my best to accommodate specific times you request.

Hey there! I’m Navpreet, an 18 year old student, and I’m here to offer your pet a calm, loving, and safe space while you’re away. I believe that pets thrive in quiet, cozy environments—so I provide gentle care, with a focus on allowing your pet to feel at ease in their own time. I’m an Akita Inu enthusiast with plenty of experience caring for family pets, and I’ve created a space where animals can just be—whether that’s lounging together, getting a head pat, or simply enjoying each other’s presence.
I offer:

Flexible, reliable pet sitting (including overnight stays!)
Personalised, gentle care tailored to your pet’s needs (no loud noises or sudden movements)
Walks for smaller dogs (especially ones that don’t have dander!)
Playtime, cuddles, and chill vibes—I’m all about keeping things cozy and relaxed
Plant watering and light cleaning while I’m housesitting (bonus!)

I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, which is why I prioritise safety, comfort, and a peaceful presence. Your furry friends will feel right at home with me, whether we’re bonding over some quiet time or a playful walk.
I can only offer petsitting for cats and low-dander dogs as I'm allergic to dog dander. But I grew up with a Japanese Akita (who is featured A LOT on my profile) who's hypoallergenic

Hi, I'm Grace. I'm 18 years old and have lived alongside animals my entire life. I'm used to caring for lots of different animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, snakes, turtles, lizards and more! I love being around animals and i'm currently working towards a future career in zoology! I have tons of experience looking after all sorts of pets and i'm well aware of how to handle animals with disabilities and special needs. I currently have 5 dogs ranging from big to small (german shepherd, labrador, working cocker spaniel, jack russel mix, and a sausage dog/chihuahua !!) As a child i grew up with a snake and a german shepherd, living with such an intelligent breed of dog for most of my life gave me a huge range of knowledge and experience of how to properly mentally and physically engage with these animals to keep them happy and their minds active, along with having experience dealing with difficult situations and how to handle them safely and accordingly. I'm familiar with reactive dogs and have participated in many professional training classes, due to my german shepherd getting attacked as a puppy and developing a fear to dogs and any unexpected moving objects such as cyclists (i regularly walk a labrador/border collie with a fear of motorcycles). I adore long walks and i can walk dogs multiple times a day if necessary. I give all animals my personal attention and i love spending time with them, i'd also love to teach your animal new tricks. i'm happy to house sit.
Thank you!

I'm an experience pet sitter having 2 years of full time back to back pet sitting experience in multiple locations in the UK. Having taken care of more than 100 pets (dogs, cats, chicken, ferret, fishes) for 45 families including puppy and senior dogs who need medication and intensive care, I truly enjoy taking care of the furry babies and I would love to meet your pets! I have all 5-star reviews and references. Let me know if your dog has any special needs which I should take note of in terms of medical condition, behaviour, preference to interact with other dogs, children and adult. I love walking dogs and playing with them. Throwing ball is a must and a good run together. If your dog is a senior child and may not be able to walk that much, I would also love to enjoy some sunshine sitting in the park with him/her!
