I am a 25-year-old freelance journalist based in Glasgow Southside. When I am not writing, I’m working in a local cafe. In my spare time I weight train at the gym, paint and write poetry. 

I have always had animals growing up, I have a dog and a cat who live at my mums house in Dumfries and Galloway who I go home and visit as often as I can, but I am severely lacking dog love in Glasgow.

My dog Rufus is a rescue, he is a Rottweiler x Lurcher and he is my best friend in the world. We adopted him in 2017 and I have loved him since the day we met. He is a gentle giant who’s still strong and energetic despite his age. He is reactive towards tractors and other large vehicles so we keep him muzzled when walking on main roads as advised by the rescue centre. 

I love all dog breeds but large and giant breeds are my favourite. I enjoy walks in the park or the forest, but my absolute favourite place on earth is the beach. 

I have also had fish and guinea pigs when I was younger and often pet sit for my friends with dogs and guinea pigs.
