My motivation for pet sitting comes from a lifelong love of dogs and the happiness they bring to everyday life. Growing up, I was fortunate to have two wonderful family dogs—a Black Labrador and a Golden Retriever. Looking after them from an early age taught me responsibility, patience, and how to understand the different needs and personalities of dogs. They were much-loved members of the family, and those experiences helped develop my passion for caring for animals.

Alongside my experience with larger breeds, I also regularly care for my partner's mother's Shih Tzu. This has given me valuable experience looking after both large and small dogs and understanding that every dog has different exercise, attention, and care requirements.

I genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that's taking them on walks, playing games, or simply giving them companionship and affection. Walks typically last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on your dog's age, energy levels, and individual needs. I enjoy helping dogs stay active, stimulated, and happy while ensuring they feel comfortable and secure.

As I am currently between jobs, dogs in my care receive my full attention throughout the day. I offer doggy daycare seven days a week and boarding for up to two days at a time. I am also available for house sitting and can visit local owners to collect dogs for walks, provided they are within a reasonable distance as I do not currently drive.

I live with my partner, who is also a big dog lover, so any dog staying with us will receive plenty of attention, affection, and companionship. To ensure every dog receives the care they deserve, I only accept up to two dogs at a time.

Dogs staying in my home will sleep on the ground floor in their own bed provided by the owner. Depending on your preference, they can sleep either just outside our bedroom or in the room with us if that helps them feel more comfortable and settled.

Although we have a garden, most toilet breaks and exercise will take place on walks. Chimney Pot Park is only a one-minute walk from our home and provides a safe, convenient green space for dogs to stretch their legs and relieve themselves. If the garden is used, temporary barriers can be put in place to help prevent dogs from accessing areas where they could potentially escape.

Dogs will not be left alone while in my care. As I currently have a flexible schedule, I am able to supervise them throughout the day. On the rare occasion I need to pop to the local shops, I am only a short walk away and would typically be gone for no longer than 15–20 minutes.

I am happy to follow your dog's usual routine, including feeding schedules, medication requirements, exercise needs, and any special instructions. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

Above all, I believe every dog deserves to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect. When caring for your pet, I will treat them as if they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable at all times.
