In home pet sitting services are a great way to break up the day and enrich it for your pet. Pawshake pet sitters have extensive experience caring for a range of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and more. If you have multiple pets, home visits are a great option to ensure that they all get a visit and lots of attention during the day.

Drop in visits are the least stressful option for your pet because your pet can stay in their favourite environment – their own home in Smethwick. Their surroundings will be familiar and our loving and passionate Pawshake sitter will spoil them each day. Our sitters will treat your home with respect and are flexible with timing, requests and durations. All this can be discussed before you make a home visit booking.

Pet boarding is a great option for when you are away for a few days and your pet needs overnight care. Unlike pet hotels, Pawshake pet boarding allows you to arrange a personalised daily routine for your pet, whether this be extra belly rubs, playtime or 24 hour supervision. Your pet will stay with the pet sitter in a cosy home environment, rather than a large, impersonal pet hotel.

So whether you need just one day, a week or even a month, you’ll be able to find an experienced pet or dog carer to accommodate you and your pet’s needs in Smethwick. The best part is that your Pawshake pet sitter is from your local neighbourhood, so they will be familiar with the area.

Our pet carers also have a range of experiences which include puppies, seniors, nervous pets and dog training. So if your pet has special requirements, you’ll be sure to find a pet sitter that is a good match for you.

Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. At Pawshake, we understand that you might feel a little uneasy allowing a pet sitter to enter your home or arranging pet boarding at their place. This is why Pawshake pet sitters also have reviews from other pet parents that are publicly available on their profile for you to read.

Each pet sitting home visit and pet boarding booking made through Pawshake is covered by the Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer support 7 days a week and more. Rest easy knowing that your pets will be well looked after by one of our expert pet carers in Smethwick.

I am a reliable and caring pet sitter based in Birmingham with a genuine love for animals. Looking after pets is something I truly enjoy, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident and relaxed while they are away.
My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet feels comfortable and well cared for.I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of different ages and personalities.
I always follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific instructions to make sure your pet’s needs are fully met.
I am patient, attentive, and responsible, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.
My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from my passion for animals and my desire to support busy pet owners.
I am happy to care for vaccinated pets and provide regular updates for your peace of mind.

I have experience of taking care of my friend's dog, I have fish and bird in my house before.Which I have understand knowledge of how to take care of different pets. I know how to interact with animals, and I really enjoy have fun with pets. I choose to become a pet sitter, because I would like to spend time with pets, and I think it is sad for them to be by themselves, I like to spend time with them when you don't have time, which make them feel happy and not lonely. I am very patience, and I can take lovely picture of them. The services I can provide is dog walking. Visiting pets when you not at home, to feed them, interact with them and make sure they are safe. For those services I would like to have £8 to £10 an hour.I wish I can have the great opportunity to meet and take care different pets. It would be my pleasure to help take care the pets. I would like to feed them, play with them. Please contact me, if you need a pet sitter, I'm exciting and compassion to take care the pets!

I am a responsible uni student missing my dog a lot, I would love the chance to look after someone else's pet and give it some love. A lot of my life revolves around my dog at home, so at uni I am really missing this aspect of my life and would love to take care of another dog to get this back. Whilst I have never had any experience pet sitting overnight I have done day visits before, feeding and taking dogs out for walks as well as feeding cats and chickens. I have had my dog at home for 11 years, so really understand what it takes to properly look after a pet and make sure it has a good time. I understand that when you go away you want to make sure your dog has the best experience it can to not miss you too much, and I would love to be able to provide this for you, to get rid of the stress that your dog is unhappy and to allow you to fully enjoy your trip. I am available all throughout June and could take your dog on any length walk from 10 minutes to an hour. I would also be happy to stay at a house for however long is needed. I would be able to communicate very well with the pet owner by making sure I regularly check my messages and could send the owner regular updates on their pet if they wish. I would spend time with the pets by playing with them, and making sure to give them the right amount of food when needed. I have experience visiting a dog which can be aggressive and I was able to make sure it remained calm around myself and other dogs, so am able to deal with dogs which may tend to lash out. I would structure walks by going on loops which would be a suitable distance for the dog depending on their age and size. I would structure their day depending on what they are used to, and so would feed them at their usual time and take them on walks at their usual time as well. I could take care of multiple dogs at once by ensuring I give them both my attention. I handle emergencies calmly and ensure safety for dogs when walking them by making sure I don't let them out of my sight.

Worry-free cat and dog sitting in Birmingham
Hi I am Laura, a friendly face you might recognise from the Jewellery Quarter. You’ve probably seen me around St. Paul’s Square or Warstone Lane, strolling with my adorable ginger Maine Coon cat on a lead.
I grew up surrounded by pets, including two German Shepherds, two cats, a rescue Golden Retriever, and a Shih Tzu. With over 20 years of experience walking dogs and as a proud owner of a Maine Coon cat, animals have always been a big part of my life. While I can't have a dog of my own right now because of my small flat, I’ve found the perfect way to stay connected—by being a professional dog sitter, cat sitter, and dog walker in Birmingham city centre and the Jewellery Quarter area.
My services are as follows ( in Jewellery Quarter or Birmingham City Centre):

Cat sitting services tailored to your feline friend’s needs

Drop-in pet visits once or twice a day to feed, play and spend time with your pet

Dog sitting in your home for comfort and consistency

Rest assured, your pet will receive all the love and attention they deserve!

Hi, I’m Alice, I'm new to the Pawshake community and am eager to get started! I’m an experienced cat and dog owner who has grown up surrounded by animals, so I understand just how important it is to know your pets are in safe, caring hands. I’m reliable, trustworthy and will treat both your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would give my own.
I recently welcomed a new kitten into my life, which has given me the perfect opportunity to refresh my cat-care skills and keep up with all the attention, playtime and cuddles that kittens need!
I also grew up with my much loved Labrador, who sadly passed away recently. I miss having a dog around enormously, and I would love the opportunity to spend time with your furry friend, whether that’s going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company.
I’d be delighted to give your pets plenty of love, attention and care while you’re away!
I offer dog walking services, average walks will range from 30-45 minutes depending on the needs of the dog. Cat, dog and rabbit home visits, in the week or weekend where pets will be fed, oral medication given, played with and litter changed. These home visits can be 1-2 times a day and will last 30 minutes to an hour depending on the number of pets you have.

- I provide dog and puppy sitting services including day or night, I am also able to dog walk in this time.
- Happy to send daily photo and video updates
-I love all animals, especially dogs.
-I work from home so I'm available most of the time and can be very flexible.
-I live near a few parks so I can guarantee a fun walk for your furry friend. I also live near the city centre so I'm very accessible.
-I live in an open plan apartment so I can constantly supervise and most of all I'm super fun so I'm sure your pet will enjoy their time with me.
-I've dog sat since I was a child as many of my family members and friends have owned dogs. I have also recently started dog sitting on the side of my 9-5.
- My sister also lives with me so some of the time you may get 2 sitters for the price of 1! She's a dog lover too.
I hope you like the sound of me and I'm excited to meet you and your furry friend!

Hi, my name is Helen and I live in a flat in the Jewellery Quarter with my husband and my cat, Maverick.
I work in a nearby school and love reading, videogames and wearing my slippers.
My husband and I have lived in the Jewellery Quarter for 1O years. We both love the area and community feel and have recently made it our permanent home. We have a 6 year old cat named Maverick who is our absolute best friend.
I have always enjoyed looking after cats and I find it very relaxing. My job is based in Safeguarding Families and Children, and so after a long day, I really enjoy getting to spend time with cats.
I do my best to be as flexible as possible and I am more than happy to make an initial visit to meet you and your cat/s before the booking begins. There is no charge for this, as I feel it is important to make myself familiar to you and your feline friend.
I am more than happy to water your plants and collect any mail. I will leave your living space as I found it and will always ensure your cats feeding/ drinking and litter areas are clean and tidy.
I have many years experience and have previously used a different site to cat-sit. I am more than happy to provide past reviews on request.
