We are a married couple in our 50s, who have have owned and bred many Cockapoos for over six years, passionate about dog welfare, and have made extensive adaptations to accommodate doggy daycare and boarding arrangements, in line with licencing requirements for breeding and home-boarding. As we are both home-based, with no other work commitments, there will be someone with your dogs at all times. These adaptations include several crates of various sizes, although we work with owners on preferred sleeping arrangements, striving to create a home-from-home. 

We have a large garden for exercise, although our daily dog-walking takes in much larger local parks and faciliites where dogs are fully supervised. Rooms have child-gates so that dogs can be segregated and contained for their safety and the garden has high movable fences to create secure paddocks but with the option to open up access to a large play area. We have a cooling pool and cooling jackets for summer months and warm jackets for the winter. The house is full of soft toys and distractions to keep your dogs occupied. We provide natural animal treats but would not give your dog anything without consultation with the owner. Everything is done in compliance with a comprehensive risk-assessment and home-boarding agreement, in with our home boarding and daycare licencing requirements.

Our vehicles are adapted so that dogs are secured with individual straps, with grills and crates so that the dogs are at no point loose during transport. Our insurance covers dog breeding, grooming and dog taxi and chaperoning services (Westminster Policy Number 131307).

We accept pregnant mums, elderly dogs and intact males, but not girls in season. We take up to three dogs from the same household but only one household at a time - be it one, two or three dogs. 

Minimum 30 minute dog-walking offered either as part of a daycare or boarding arrangement or as a standalone service. In determining the length and circumstances of the walk, we will of course take into account the age and health needs of your dogs. We would not take more than five dogs on a single walk, so that dogs can be closely supervised at all times. Walks incorporate regular rest breaks, so that the dogs are never over-exercised. Most dogs from outside the household are routinely kept on leads, certainly on the first few walks, and are allowed off only in close consultation with the owner, having established that they have the temperament and have established a bond with the walker. We have long training and extendable leads, so that even tethered animals can run free. If their behaviour around other dogs, or recall, cannot be atested to, they would remain on a lead so that they be easily retrieved. Dog treats and water are available at all times. Lead types are adapted to the needs of the dog; we are not presecriptive and take our 'lead' (or harnessing requirements) from the owner.

Early morning, late evening and weekend walking are offered, with collect and drop-off. This often incorporates dog-boarding or daycare in line with the lifestyle and work-habits of the owners.

We have 4 of our own cockapoos so require a meet and greet to check they get on, then one night trial stay where you are available in the event of a problem. We would not hesitate to communicate our concerns and recommend you look elswhere if there are any issues at this stage, so that the dogs are at ease with each other in the house and on our walks.
