Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I've grown up with and cared for all sorts of pets, including dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, fish and chickens. Over the years I've looked after animals with a wide range of personalities and needs, from nervous rescue dogs to elderly pets requiring multiple medications. I have experience caring for blind cats, pets with mobility issues, and animals that need extra patience, monitoring and support. One thing owners often notice about me is how well I read animals. I'm very respectful of their individual personalities and body language. Some pets want endless fuss and cuddles, while others prefer to come to you in their own time. I'm happy to adapt to whatever makes your pet feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. I'm now offering pet sitting in owners' homes because I love spending time with animals and helping them stay happy in their familiar environment while you're away. After pet-sitting professionally for two dogs and thoroughly enjoying the experience, I decided to make it a regular part of what I do. My pet-sitting service includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, companionship, cuddles (when welcomed!), and maintaining your pets' usual routines to help them feel safe and settled while you're away. I am happy to administer oral and topical medications and have experience caring for animals with complex medical needs, including those requiring multiple daily medications. I also care for any other pets in the household or garden, including chickens and small animals. I'll ensure doors and windows are secured, bring in post or deliveries if requested, care for any house plants, keep the home tidy, and maintain a lived-in presence while you're away, helping your pets feel comfortable and your home remain secure. I offer pet sitting in your home where the pets are the most comfortable. I don't like leaving pets alone for long periods and so they would not be left by themselves for more than half a day during the daytime and I will be there evenings and overnight.
